We have another problem with this vote....As of today there are about 2100 rampers that don't pay dues..mostly west employees and east employees hired in the past 3 years or so. By the rules THEY CAN'T VOTE. Who is going to enforce this? The jerkoff union bigwigs want these people to vote so this TA can go through. So how do we stop this??? This should tell you what kind of Union this is...they can't even get whats due to them from this company
The IAM is a joke. Sorry to offend those who it offends, but it is true. A POOR excuse for a union. They do not have their s**t together. I have several examples ranging from the handling of greivances to the simple matter of dues collections. The message should be clear... we have APES running the show for us and do you really think that they have OUR (Fleet Serive workers of USAirways) best interest at hand when it comes to constructing a decent T.A. or regular contract for that matter?? Hell no, look at outsourcing. They are completely willing to let dues paying members get flushed down the toilet for the past 2 rounds of contract negs...and they are endorsing it AGAIN. What union in this nation would ALLOW this? The whole idea behind unionism is to PROTECT its members and the jobs they hold. WTF?!?! This s**t is really pissing me off. We had a Q & A session at my station regarding this T.A. and it is being sold as OUTSOURCING either way you look at it. Vote no and you sign your station away as early as this year. Vote yes, you are signing your station away, but you "bought" 3 years of protection. This stinks! I was happy with the terms of the TWU contract I followed, not this IAM POS. The IAM should take notes from the Longshoreman's union or the BLE (Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers) on how to have some cajones when it comes to unionism...
