I just saw the Seniority List

Hey, you wanna know what? My sweet smiling face, no matter how aged it my be, keeps the customers coming back. I greet them all, I serve predeparture drinks on all flights.

No one reads Cosmos on my flights. We take care of my customers. None of my crew members objects. I am very proud of my coworkers.

We care.

So if you don't, pleaae quit. My crew and I care. Our customers are the only the best, we show up.

Dea

Ps AOL stinks
who cares if anyone reads Cosmo on "your" flights.

Well, I am too busy to read Cosmo on my flights. I am offering seconds, picking up trash and cleaning the galley. My crew is busy attending to the needs of our passengers. You remember those guys, the ones who supply our paychecks.

And on a personal note, I much prefer the Nationa Enquirer. I never mind putting it down to see to the passenger needs. And I just love the gossip. My customers come first, always. And I am very proud most of our employees feel the same!

I believe Dea was referring to her crew when she said no one reads cosmo on her flights.

MANY people care. Passengers don't want to see f/a's reading cosmo, or hear them complaining about thier bids, etc. They want service, and from what Dea has written, that is what they get on her flights.

Thank you Dea....I'm glad that you are in the majority when it comes to crew members serving the passengers.

Hula,
You're right on all counts - and I can attest that Dea is one of the best FA's I've ever flown with. There need to be more with her level of service.
Thanks, Dea!

I don't think anyone suggested that you quit. Since you are apparently one of the best flight attendants God ever made. I suggested that you were not being held against your will. You said 6,000 was not enough. What amount would it take?

When I can no longer do my job to the best of my efforts, I'll do everyone a favor and leave. Will you do the same? I won't stay around and spread bitterness and a bad attitude.

I'm very proud of being a flight attendant. And a darn good one.

Dea

$6,000 was the one time pay off. I believe that was after taxes. I love my job, I do it with much pride. Most of my coworkers share that same pride. If I was forced to work with a bunch of slackers, I would have quit long ago. I am mighty proud of our workforce. God knows, we are the ones who keep the customers coming back!

OK, here's my wish list: Bring back our RES. They are the best! Revise the reserve system. It stinks.

And for Heavens sake, give our retirees a pension.

Dea

And don't tell me to quit. I am asset to this company. My skills and my love of this job shows. As do most of my coworkers.

As always Dea .... you are "right on"! $6K is a slap in the face. Might cover a year or two of Medical Insurance costs.

Since the USAirways F/A senority list is not complete....I caution people that this "list" may not be accurate. AFA has not even finished the combined list.
WEST (afa66) has stopped all work on the list in protest to the companies behavior with negotiating the WEST contract. So, yes there is a list you can go look at. But remember the HP list isn't finished with the protest phase, and the EAST list they have on site is from MAY 05. It does'nt include early outs or retirements that have occurred since.

I said nothing about "complaining about their bids" or talking loud in the galley. If a flight attendant wants to read after providing "excellent" customer service, there is no harm. What are we suppose to do? Stare at the galley walls for 4 hours.

If you have 4 hours to sit on your ass, then darlin, you aint givin the customers "excellent" service.

If you were working a 4 hour flight and did the service three times over you would still have idle time. What do some expect us to do? Inflight fashion shows, massages or what? If I need to throw my nose in a magazine to keep from falling asleep then so be it. The comments about us sitting and reading just gets on my last nerve. If your on takeoff or landing sure, no mags on the jumpseat. You should be doing the 30 second review. I though usually end up making small talk with someone being as chatty as I am.
