So, if you had to choose between Arpey, Horton, or Parker... you'd still take one of the other two?

I'll admit Horton wasn't on the job enough to see the results of his work operationally. In regards to dealing with his employees, he demonstrated a lack of leadership like Arpey. It would take awhile to write an honest report, one of the low points would be hiring a PR spokesperson who advertised on his website his skill at working plane crashes among other skills. Later blaming the passengers for spilling Cokes that caused rows of seats to come detached ( could have caused fatalities during a aborted takeoff) sealed the deal with me in regards to Horton's leadership. Other observations were a totally inept conference call with analysts while CFO years ago. He sounded like a high school freshmen giving his first book report in speech class. "Uhhhh-uhhhh-uhhhh". The stock dropped 20% after he got on the call.

Arpey? Worse than Horton speaking to people. His subordinate picks in OPS and Flight were even worse. We went from a great record of S80's having low rates of failures to middle to low. His group proudly said average was a fine place to be. Other fleets sank badly too.

Parker? Like the other two, he wants me to do X for the least amount of $. Fine with me, it's my job to keep him from picking my pocket and drinking my good hooch. As long as he runs the place well, I'll be ok with that. If I want undying respect and admiration while wearing my pilot uniform, I'll keep repeatable coming in the front door so my Lab jumps all over me. ;)

The jury is still out how they're going to run this thing. AeroFlot Part II is still in the cards at this point. Yes, I'd still pick him over A or H.
 
For us AMTs, we'll find out what Parker thinks of us when we see his offer for our joint contract.  I am not betting on an offer like the pilots and FAs got where they were industry leader plus.  I am betting on his offer will still keep us lower paid than either UA or Delta.  Don't forget AMTs are much farther behind the top industry pay than all other work groups.  But that is our fault for allowing the TWU to keep us there.  Should have sent them packing long long ago.  We are treated like crap because our union allows and actually encourages AA to do this.  Parker will give us an insulting offer and the TWU will tell us to vote yes.  Wanna bet?

I tend to believe otherwise. When it's our turn to negotiate, I think that the $$$$ will be offered to us in exchange for something......The TWU will always find something for us to concede while at the same time saying they got us a raise.
