Folks:
If you weren't paying attention during the class presentation (webcast) this week, let me refresh you on some facts:
1. In order to cut costs, the use of technology such as the web site, airport kiosks, and gate ticket readers are inevitable. What this means is less need for personnel in reservations and at the airport to assist customers. This will most likely lead to furloughs. Get used to it. It is the way of the future in the entire airline industry and if you choose not to accept it, find something else to do with your life as opposed to whining or dragging everyone else down with your attitude.
2. Pay most likely will decrease in the short term for all union employees. If this is something that alarms you, then you need to find something else to do with your life.
3. Voting NO to concesionary contracts will do NOTHING except cause the company to close the doors which will make it a certainty that your pay and medical benefits will no longer be provided.
These things are inevitable and continuing with the "concession stand is closed" follies will do nothing except make the unions look like a bunch of spoiled little kids who want to take their ball and go home because they are not getting their way on the football field.
