"fooled Again By Ward"

Based upon my somewhat limited information about the leadership of APFA, but a lot of knowledge about the hostility towards TWAers by APFA and a lot of firsthand knowledge about what happened during the contract concessions, it seems strongly indicated that you need new leadership. APFA appears as polarized and divided within in ways that will never be repaired by the present leadership. Time to get some new competent representation that can and will repair the wounds that the present leadership has brought upon themselves and the membership. I do not know much about Mr. Bott but if half of what he says is true, it seems like it is time to clean house.
 
I really hope that the AA FA's don't fall for the okie-doke and be bamboozled into replacing leadership that granted what MOST of the membership wanted because of the very vocal voices that want your seniority.
APFA was always the one group on the AA property that took no BS. Yeah they really blew it with the concessions but just remember this...APFA was not divided and bickering until the new members joined and werent satisfied with the seniority from when they started working for AA.

Just don't play into the hands of those who at this time could care less if AA went BK.

Actually....after thinking about it. Let them think that you will vote a twaer into office and then do the intelligent thing when you vote.

You have me laughing! Yeah RIGHT everything is TWA's fault.

If you keep Ward in office - you deserve everything you get.
 
Actually, if you voted four TWAers into the positions that are open, I doubt it would change a thing. The direction of APFA is controlled by the BOD made up of base reps. The leadership of APFA must follow the direction of the BOD even should they disagree. The TWAers are a non threat being made into a horror story. The only thing that is going to push the BOD of APFA to change is court rulings. And they will be some time coming. What might be more interesting to think about down the road is when some TWAers started to get recalled. Obviously there is not enough room for them in STL and since AAers in STL would again be forced to move under such a scenario and if AA does not have have enough bid lines for the TWAers in STL, they cannot exercise their seniority there. So what does the integration agreement have to say about that? Very murky area. Would AA be required to move suffieient flying from other domiciles into STL for the TWAers? And what effect would that have on AA's costs and the AA F/As at those domiciles that lost the flying? Are they going to be very unhappy to go back to reserve? There is a potential huge mess on the horizon. Not to mention that all the aircraft will most likely be on the AA certificate by that time and TWAers will need to be trained the "AA way."

I find it interesting that you are not even an employee (your wife is an furloughed first officer pilot). It is no skin off your back that the f/a's are working under horrible conditions due to the fact that Ward gave it all away. Sure, you don't want anything to change - because the company may come back to the pilots and request more from them!

latreal - the reason I wasn't going to respond back to you - is that you are not one to give any flight attendant voting suggestions. YOU ARE NOT AN EMPLOYEE NOR EVEN A FLIGHT ATTENDANT. You are not working under the horrible working conditions. You may be a "wanna be employee" - however YOU ARE NOT.

As I said - of course you want Ward to stay in office. If anyone else had worked on the last t/a - the pilots would have had to give up more. You are just positioning your wife for the future - in hopes that as long as the f/a's remain the givers - there is more for your wife and your family.

You don't fool anyone!
