Flight Attendant Schedulers

Hello Everyone--I have never been involved in a Forum before.
The message from AC AA LA FA was shown to me at work
tonight. I have read through these threads and I want to make
a comment (actually, I am rather verbose--have a seat!).
I see the word 'favor' a lot. Well, I have been
scheduling for 15 years and there was a time, 11 years ago and
prior, that we all were able to 'give and take' a little for each
other. We cannot anymore. We have to abide by the contract.
AC AA LA FA--there are a few things I can deduce about you---
you have an employee number that begins with 107 or 104, and
you have known me since 1990 or 1991. Remember those good
ol' days? Thank you for the kind words.
I have read where an FA wrote that we should all treat everyone
as we would like to be treated ourselves (The Golden Rule).
And Please and Thank You are powerful words. I agree.
ChrisSprings--Everyone Should Know the Contract!! But, to be
honest, the Letters of Agreement change so much that it is
difficult to keep up (but basic stuff---- 30/7, 7 Day, etc...you would
not believe how many don't 'get it!'). Meanwhile, Chris, your
attitude about Scheduler's makes me a little sad. Treasure is a
good friend of mine. I would have let that flight cancel. If you
expected something for a kind deed, then you should have let

a little more awake, I just re-read these threads,
from page 1. ChrisSprings, I had you combined
with LivesInAHotel (sorry bout' that). Although I
commend you for getting our paying passengers to their
desitnation, it's not your fault at all that there were
no other FA's to fly the trip, just as it wasn't
Treasure's. Neither of you had an obligation to
fill the trip like that. We do not get in trouble for
following the Contract....just the opposite, actually.

LivesInAHotel doesn't come across as a Happy Person.
I hope things get better for you (may you LiveInAHouse
soon!).

anyways enough-

As Ms. Live Long says things were different then-we/they always followed the contract-we were both responsible for knowing our work rules..the difference was, I guess that then there was more 1 on 1 with sched. You built a raport-and developed a reputation-both sides-and if you found someone as cool as Suzie you were glad to do what had to be done-glad to be at AA-there was an element of RESPECT as a person-something that now we dont run into-it seems at all

my brain trying to figure out who with Air Cal was at SFO!
(I didn't spend too much time doing it, as I don't have much of
one left!).
Well, now I know better. You are one of the best, too!
I miss the SFO base. That use to be the 'nicest' base in
the system. Then, THE OTHERS transfered in!
I still suffer from S.A.D., but I just eat more when I drink
these day! Ha! Give Janel my best if you still commuicate.

PS Also, if I must partake in a Social Situation, I bring an
alarm clock with me and set it, so I know what time I can
graciously leave--it keeps me from overcompensating.

Yes..business. I guess since this a Forum on how to
improve things, I guess I have to say that I don't think
it can be done. There are too many personalities
involved, and too many preconceptions and
misconceptions.
Example, today I called out two SBY's. I let them
choose their closest airport and show time.
What did I get? Attitude.
On the other hand, I called 5 FA's out this afternoon.
who had landed after midnight, for trips. I called
them over an hour berfore their rest was up
(perfectly legal), and they were all very receptive
and pleasant.
One never knows what was is going to get on the
other end of the phone, and that goes both ways.
All we can do is try to know the Work Rules to
the best of our ability, and conduct ourselves in
a professional and ethical manor. Maybe then,
things will improve.

Hate to break it to you but I am still working in Crew Skd as I have been for the last several years. No one has been terminated from crew skd since summer of last year or when ever the last round of lay offs was. But then again, if you knew who I was you would know that.

Speaking of which. It's been 2 months since you supposedly sent in a complaint on me. I'm still waiting. OH yea, you have no idea who I am, can't proove it to AA even if you did ... and OH yea, I've never done anythign wrong on this board .....lol. You are such a half wit. Even Susie who is new on this board knew that right from the start.

Regarding NRT, I never said that I was going to NRT. You couldn't pay me enough to work that trip from any base. I only fly turns and that's it!

It seems you're a little upset that you lost your job. I wasn't the only one (9 to be exact) who wrote you up for harassment and several other things. You got caught on tape and were busted! The APFA pulled the tapes and reviewed them and listened to the way you treated flight attendants on the phone. One call you said "If you refuse this trip I will give you a miss trip on your schedule." That flight attendant had every right to refuse that trip. You can't due a darn thing if a flight attendant has a 30/7 legality!

I hear JetBlue is looking for schedulers and guess what? They're non-union flight attendants, right up your alley!

A place Garfield1966 can work If you get hired by them, think twice before you speak next time.
