Anyone hear they are going to close the flight attendent and pilot bases in pit

I heard that as well. I belive I heard that from the some person that told us that pit res is closing because jerry glass was comming for senior officer outreach day.

Speaking of the Credit Union......just found out today from the Credit Union that beginning January 1st there will be a $10.00 charge when ordering replacement or new checks. They will not charge if you re-order them now until the end of the year....so, ORDER AWAY! Seems the excuse of too many people being furloughed from the company spurred this cost savings idea! 😱

Furloughed folks can still be a part of the CU. Even if they dont live in U-Land they can get cash without a fee at any credit union ATM (or MAC as some of you say!)

How stingy though. It sure is the US AIRWAYS credit union, huh.

Having chatted with a number of Credit Union employee's in a social setting...I can tell you that their business has dropped off considerably.

Not only do they not have direct deposits coming in from Furloughed or Terminated people ..they are NOT making loans like they once did.

Knowing a loan official in Moon very well...they said that the majority of the paper they were processing was in fact re-financing of homes at lower rates or in some cases forclosures. Lower rate loans yield less interest...and that is where their money is made.

Car loans via the FCU have dropped dramatically as well...and un-certain future does not send people out buying big ticket items....look around the employee lots sometime.

Our FCU cannot compete with the likes of GMAC , Ford Credit and the others whom have offered low to Zero interest loans either....so those that do take the plunge on debt...plunge elsewhere for the loans.

The FCU is suffering right along with the rest of us....share the pain.

That is soooo stupid!!!!!!

We all know that everything is resting on what happens with the PIT negos.

Obviously, if PIT remains a hub the f/a pilot bases will stay.

It U removes PIT as a hub why the hell would they keep a base there?

Aren't you supposed to be doing a 30 second review on the jump seat rather than spreading this crap? :blink:
