But since you don't know me that makes me a west pilot. Guess what, I have anger toward my gullible east co-workers too. Maybe I'll be correct as well?

That's not what makes you a west pilot, being a west pilot does. Notice no west pilots jump on here to defend your eastness?

You could be right about some things I have no crystal ball. According to my rep you were wrong about McKee contesting the MOU. Funny, you never commented on that after my post.

Making $90 an hour on reserve. My condolences.

Well actually he is a Dec. '07 hire. So he is probably at least on the 4 year pay scale which is over 107/hr. under the MOU, and will be over 115/hr in January.

It's more than he made as an FO and more than ANY West FO has made per hour on ANY plane before the AA merger. It's actually even more than any 190 Capt. has made before the new pay resulting from the MOU. I'm certainly not in love with the 190 pay rates, but I'm sure he will welcome the raise...

Here's my prediction:

USAPA submits an East and West list to the arbitration panel and the first thing the arbitration panel does is combine the East and West lists according to the Nicolau Award.

Here's my prediction:

You are wrong.

So how about it- once my girl's got a thousand hours can she get s job at US Scare? I mean, that's the way it works, right PIB? Lol

Really! You would actually encourage your child to pursue a career in the airline business? You realize that there are laws against child abuse, don't you?

I know a lot of guys have had various levels of pain, no movement and worse, and probably are wondering where in the Hell all the years went and what is there to show for it, but it looks to me like the landscape my be shaping up for heading in the right direction again. With a solidified big three and Jet Blue, SWA, etc doing their thing, and an industry wide aging workforce. I don't have kids, but I could see it being worthwhile for some kids coming of age these days.

I note that the top 40 767 PHL F/O's on the last bid that just closed, could hold block holding Captain on the little bus in PHL. That's a $50/hr pay raise, I'm all about QOL, but that $50/hr can buy a lot of quality. Is it just "no room at the inn" or what? Just goes to prove that you can never guess what motivates people, especially pilots. Can't complain too much however, I still moved up 6 numbers.

Time can get you more money, money can't buy you more time.

When I'm on my death bed I'm pretty sure I won't be thinking "Man , I wish I'd spent a few more days at work".

Just what is it you think is coming down the pike next? This contract is on autopilot so all we have left to "obsess" over IS the Nicolau. I wish more would "obsess" over it instead of merely brushing it off as dead. At least Trader understands that.

Most amusing...Not to mention clinically interesting,....coming from an "east" pilot. ;)

You were a staunch supporter of the MOU, which in your own words now puts "This contract.....on autopilot..." and presumably, in your view, easilly allows for the nic to come into being. Is this a fair estimate of your perceptions so far? The nic would grievously disadvantage a great many actual east pilots and yet, even given the above; "..all we have left to "obsess" over IS the Nicolau."...?

dca319:"I wish more would "obsess" over it instead of merely brushing it off as dead." Why? Perhaps you could explain the gains to now be had from doing that for any east pilot...especially since the contract, in your view, is now on "autopilot"?

Your "interesting" perspective, as an "east" pilot of course, would perhaps prove "logical" only to the more afflicted schizophrenics.

No doubt true. What's also true is that self made people tend to have a different work ethic than those who get ahead through Daddy's connections.

You wouldn't understand.

Claxon's brother rears his ugly head.

Get your little brother some professional help, he needs it.

Did not move one iota for me.........

Sorry to hear that, but maybe the AA merger brought some out of the woodwork that otherwise would have stayed put. The movement will come soon for east pilots.

The new A330 time going into CLT helped me move up 3! Amazing! Eight senior to me in PHL to retire in the next 12 months. And more A330 time later this year with new deliveries...

How did the new May 2013 bid go for you westies?

So, let me see if I have your community college logic right: dca319 must be a west pilot because you say so and nobody from the west refutes your silly, community college opinion? Got it. Well, how about we chalk you and your community college education/ opinions as someone who really knows not what they do not know.
Cheers!

I predict a 3 way as most of the west pilots are tired of giving their money away. They realize the Nic is unlikely to happen and primarily benefits the junior pilots. If there is a 3 way decided in the first 90 days, I expect the PHX vote to be better than 50% for.
