Egypt Looking for Change?

Map of Israel's enemies. Hmmm, aren't these the ones that are on fire right now?
Massive anti-Israeli sentiment could morph into an attack of Biblical proportions with a response in nuclear Biblical proportions. So much for the world economy when that happens.

Yes they may all hate Israel but only a hand full have the wherewithal to do anything. Egypt, Iran are the two biggest ones. Jordan and Syria may be but Jordan already has it's hands full. Everyone knows that if someone raises a hand to Israel, the US will step in and I don't think anyone wants that. At some point I hope self preservation will step in.

Don't be to surprised, when in our lifetime there will be massive bloodshed against the Jewish state of Israel. Everyone will be shocked, stunned, outraged, and fret how could this happen??? The writing is on the wall as we speak with the fall of Egypt to the MB. The left is more concerned about the feelings of the MB at the same time the MB only wish the death of everyone in Israel and the US. Including said libtards.

Mass hysteria flows quite well in the Muslim world.

First, Egypt is nothing like Afghanistan. There will be nothing "like Taliban rule".

Your predictions are not based on fact.

Exactly. Afghanistan and Egypt are two very different countries. Having endured over thirty years of warfare Afghanistan is a breeding ground for thugs like the Taliban. If Egypt were to go the route of the Muslim Brotherhood it would resemble Iran more than Taliban controlled Afghanistan. Which makes Iran look like Las Vegas.

Maybe to some extent in Iran............that won't really matter. Muslim Brotherhood is going to run herd and all will follow. Much like Taliban rule.
The fire is lit and watch it spread around the world.
This is a historic moment for the religion of peace and will be will be Obama's worst moments as a lame duck President.

Then what do you purpose the US do in the case of Egypt? Should we continue to support Hosni or the opposition?

Obama's doing a fine job of foreign relations

The specter of 1979 remains – the US in the middle of an economic crisis and botched response to the popular unrest in a key US ally, Iran, leading to the defeat of President Jimmy Carter in 1980.

With only 20 months until its next US presidential election, the Obama administration is eyeing how much it can exert control over the situation without becoming a spoiler.

Don't worry, Bill Clinton about to be named President of the World......we can sleep tight tonight.

Where's Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton or Jimmy carter when Egypt needs them the most?

I see this ending as badly as Tehran in 1979.

Hosni wasn't an angel, but he kept the extremists in check. All the liberals who are singing "democracy!" right now need to remember that Egypt has never been a democracy in its 5000 years or so of recorded history. And as much as I'd love to see it become one, sadly I doubt that will happen.

This has every potential to fulfill Obama's reputation as The Second Coming of Jimmy Carter in all of the worst ways. While other countries were evacuating their nationals and embassies, Obama was saying "can't we all just get along?" on national TV. He should have had a couple of C-5's in there to evacuate the remaining tourists and embassy folks.

God forbid the "friendly students and agents of change" start taking hostages.

Well stated. The only great difference is there is no visible leadership replacement like the Ayatollah and Islamic Fundamentalism was in Iran.
People running around telling Mubarak to leave with no alternative is irrational.
Maybe the TWU will save them...

“America Has Lost It”: Israel Shocked By Obama’s “Betrayal” Of Mubarak

Writing in Haaretz, Ari Shavit said Obama had betrayed “a moderate Egyptian president who remained loyal to the United States, promoted stability and encouraged moderation.” To win popular Arab opinion, Obama was risking America’s status as a superpower and reliable ally. “Throughout Asia, Africa and South America, leaders are now looking at what is going on between Washington and Cairo.

Everyone grasps the message: “America’s word is worthless … America has lost it.”

White House Message to Mubarak: Stay Put…Wait, We Don’t Take Sides…Uh, Hit the Road

Utterly disgraceful :(

History is repeating itself in Egypt. Just review what happen in 1979.
http://www.iranchamber.com/history/islamic_revolution/islamic_revolution.php

On January 16 1979, the Shah left Iran. Shapour Bakhtiar as his new prime minister with the help of Supreme Army Councils couldn't control the situation in the country anymore.

On April 1, after a landslide victory in a national referendum in which only one choice was offered (Islamic Republic: Yes or No), Ayatollah Khomeini declared an Islamic republic with a new Constitution reflecting his ideals of Islamic government.

Ayatollah Khomeini became supreme spiritual leader (Valy-e-Faqih) of Iran. Subsequently many demonstrations were held in protest to the new rules, like extreme regulations on women's code of dress.
