But alas, that fact would get in the way of parroting a good talking point.

Yeah we did, but if you recall all the last minute behind the scene changes, voting proceeded before anyone had a chance to read the near 3k page monstrosity.

No idea what she did or did not mean. I cannot read nor do I wish to read her mind. Quoting only part of what she said is intellectually dishonest at the very least. She was quoted incorrectly for a reason. Using only part of the quote says something entirely different than the using the complete quote. They used it out of context for the same reason you did.
