Will you guys be using a Kasher style agreement to set up your TWU/IAM Senority ?

All unions have to follow McCaskill-Bond, it is highly unlikely that a "kasher" would happen again.

AFA is DOH policy.

IAM is always doh into the classification.

I cant speak for the CWA but it was DOH into DOC in the HP/US merger.

And the pilots, well thats an abomination at US right now.

ILL find out today from some of my co workers who are in the cwa but i think they too go by DOH

Why wouldn't an arbitrated decision happen again? M/B stipulates fair and equitable and if the parties can't come to an agreement it goes to arbitration.

And barf, well played on the flamebait sir.<golf clap>

Don't lie to the people, It was not DOH into DOC in the US/hp merger. And iam definitely does not go by DOH into the classification. Do not be fooled into thinking that they do, because they don't.

Yes they do and your seniority was determined before, you dont get a redo, it was DOC, just like mtc and related. We all got DOH for vacation and travel and DOC for jobs, bidding etc....

No one in the PI/US merger, the PS/US merger or the HP/US merger lost seniority.

Ramp service did not get DOC for jobs, and bidding. Stop misleading those that may be affected by untrue statements.

Wrong. There were many folks who got DOH not DOH into DOC. I can think of numerous tower agents who were gate agents who got DOH, not DOH into DOC, and a ramp agent who was a res agent who got DOH into DOC. The one agent lost DOH senority (which I agree with and think that's what you're saying) but the tower agents got ALL their time, bypassing many employees who had far more DOC time. People who weren't bidding as fleet, and never had are bidding with more senority then some who worked in fleet longer. It's a touchy subject for some (I'm actually over it), but the fact is that it was NOT that simple. It should be DOc and DOH being maybe a tiebreaker or something.

That seniority was determined by the bridge agreement which was way before the HP/US merger.

And what you are talking about was the half credit for part-time when upgraded to full time.

Suppose someone got a DOC, then subsequently got displaced from that classification to a lower-paid one due to a reduction. Would that original DOC follow him/her for the career, giving priority to recoup that classification?

Nyc,

It wasnt an IAM penalty, it was how the company determined seniority before fleet unionized.

If you were part-time and then upgraded to full time you got an adjusted date for vacation accrual and it was adjusted for when you went full time date of classification.

There was a bridge agreement negotiated after the union was certified that covered seniority and the ability to go from ramp to csa or csa to ramp, since csa werent unionized and the ramp went union in 95.

For ramp, they only have lead and regular.

In maintenance I had utility time and stock time, I went to stores in 99 and in 2003 got displaced back to utility, and my utility date was 10/18/89, you never lose time in any classification once you held it, thats under the m&r cba.

If you took a supervisors job, you accumulated seniority for 6 months, then you time froze, you dont move forward anymore and everyone behind you will pass you at some point in time.
