Throw in the AMFA Dogs and I'll buy it.Look for a labor agreement with once a week BBQ Sandwhiches, and once a month $50 gift card.

The employee appreciation days at DFW are usually put on by the Rec. committee with the profits from the vending machines in the breakrooms. So basically we pay to appreciate ourselves.I much prefer low grade hot dogs served by jerks in suits with fake smiles. That's what we get every so often as a show of love from AA.
Employee Appreciation Day.
In all fairness, though, they sometimes do it up really big time and give us each a ticket for one hamburger from the burger truck. I got to eat two one time because a vegetarian gave me his ticket. Really pulled one off on the company that time. Made up for all the concessions.

You'd be a lot better off with someone like oneflyer on your side for a change. In fact, the TWU should have professional negotiators, rather than expecting a couple of bubba's to be able to do the job.
please if you don't mind, can you give me your definition of "bubba"???
With all due respect eolesen, I'm a bit curious, do you actually know anyone from Tulsa or are you just going by the rhetoric and BS you read on these boards? And please if you don't mind, can you give me your definition of "bubba"???
For a fleeting moment I presumed you were above the criticisms. But this and your "retarded" comments appear to show true colors. My bad..............
here's a link for you...And please if you don't mind, can you give me your definition of "bubba"???

I probably spent more time in Oklahoma (including TUL) than 95% of the people working at HDQ today. Then again, stopping at a QuikTrip while passing thru TUL qualifies as spending more time in Oklahoma than 90% of those working at HDQ...
Why? Did I strike a nerve? Or do you resemble that remark?
Bubba |=> member of a good ol' boy network |=> classic description of both the TWU leadership and AA's maintenance management team in TUL.
Back to the topic, though.
One of my former housemates was a professional negotiator for CSEA Local 830, and his opinion was that allowing teachers, highway workers, and public safety workers to negotiate their own contracts was about as dumb as it is to serve as your own legal counsel.
Sure, it's cool to march in formation into the meeting room wearing "Team TWU" shirts, salute the flag and recite the Pledge of Allegiance (no joke... TWU negotiators really did this in a past negotiation...) before sitting down at the table, but none of that really matters when it comes to practicing the art of negotiating.
Believe it or not, even with the dysfunctional non-election of international officers, if you had a hired gun who wasn't emotionally attached to the discussions, you might be able to get a decent contract out of the TWU. Instead, you're continually outclassed and outsmarted at the table.
