day in the life of a customer service agen

YV,
your forgiven .. since you brought the blow up guy back :D :D :D :D
Hey i tried! Did you see all my rules? I even yelled to stay on topic!
I dont want this thread closed, i just want resrat or whoever to put down the gallon of kool aid and stop nit picking.

One time a guy crapped on the floor in clt on c concourse.

Dont know why he was so mad. I think someone was at C15 quoting some dr. Suess or something.

Haha

As a flight attendant for another airline, let me interject here that there is not enough money on this earth to get me to put up with what the average gate agent puts up with in a single work day.
You mean you don't like when people slap the counter at you and call you worthless and ask how YOU are going to compensate THEM for this disaster? (that the weather caused)

I WANT YOUR NAME!!I WANT YOUR BOSSES NAME!! I WANT HIS BOSSES NAME!! (etc)

hehehhee -;)

thanks for the support!

I have said many times that it is a good thing that, unlike FFDO's, gate agents may not be armed.

Given your scenario above, if I were a gate agent, I wouldn't even look up. I would just reach under the counter, pull out my pistol, fire across the counter. Then I would get on the PA and calmly say "Clean up at gate 22." Then I would look up, smile sweetly, cheerfully say, "Next," to the next person in line.

And that is a perfect example. . . if one is so inpatient that confirming a gate and destination, and assisting a customer is annoying then what does this say.

If you are in customer service of course people are going to come up and ask questions (yes, even ones you might consider silly and obvious). . . but it is just part of the job. Why not look at it a different way, a helping positive way. Instead of an annoyance. It would make for a much more pleasant day.

hey 4merrsrat,

why don't you just chill out. this site was meant to be funny and humors. a place to go and laugh and blow off some stress

.. Just for the record. I worked in C/S for about 5 yrs . and have a file full of positive letters and comments from passenger and

supervisor. Just trying to have some fun here. If you feel you need to criticize every post . why don't you go read a book

or kick the dog or something.

Get to know the food court employees. Befriend them. Learn their names and treat them as you would want to be treated. They usually get a better discount than we get.

Did you guys hear about the lady who tried to hang herself after she was denied boarding due to insufficient documents for an international flight? She thought she went to an isolated corner, hung herself on the intl breakroom door and kicked the chair from under where she was sitting. A couple of our agents found her bug eyed and unconscious!!! She went to the hospital and I don't know what happened to her after that!!

Roger that.

Sometimes I’d be looking up loads or something at the podium and somebody would come up to me and start asking questions. My standard answer was I’m in the Coke and pretzels department, but I’d be more than happy to screw up your itinerary and send your bags to OMA.

LOL, try rerouting people after they miss PDX...... that is the WORST

People watching is one of the pleasures of working C/S. Spring break is usually the best but please refrain from giving out "fashion citations". Once you start that you won't have a lot of time to do anything else.

About the lady that tired to hang herself on the door, she was kept overnight for observation. She was then released and went to ATL, got her visa and left the next day.
