UVN:

I never hold a Futures contract overnight and I have learned the hard way why not to do this. There is to little liquidity during after hours trading, news can happen while I am a sleep, and I would rather take a small loss and preserve my account than a large one when I cannot react.

How about you?

Well, the OPEC meeting has come and gone, the output quotas were raised, and the headlines say this:

Oil Prices Shoot to New Intraday High

and this:

Opec rise in output quota fails to restrain oil price

So I guess the question is "How much did the daily commodities trader lose?" Sounds like a good poll question.

With all due respect, are there intraday swings that can be traded with Technical Analysis such as Candlesticks, Stochastics, RSI, and Moving Averages, or do markets only go straight up and down?

Since you seem to know so much about trading and speculation, would you please explain this to me? Maybe you can get Lark's "mystical" 25-year vet to help.

By the way, what happenend to the NASDAQ and what is a bubble in the securities market?

USA320Pilot

P.S. I see you're selectively posting only certain information again, which is misrepresentation. When would now be a good time for you to accurately present information instead of a selective application?

So what? Do you think I really care about some of the posters I traded comments with during the trading day.

It's fun having multiple monitors on my desk. Maybe you should get an Appian Graphics video card too.

By the way, what is it like to only post negative comments and to have that sentiment all day long on this forum? Moreover, why do you have so much time to post? You're not trying to survive on unemployment are you, and that cannot be the cause of your anger, could it?

Since I'm not the one that made the forecast, and I'm just a "naysayer", maybe you'd like to give us the benefit of your unlimited intellect.

you've got me confused with you. I've never claimed to know any of that, only you have. As for Lark's soulmate, he can choose to share his knowledge or not.

To tell the truth, I haven't even seen what happened in the NASDAQ today - hasn't seemed important somehow. But then, I'm not a speculator. I'll leave the speculation up to you. Oops, that's right, you think speculation serves no purpose.

You know, I think I've figured out one thing. If you sign your posts with "Regards", you can get away with saying anything. Personal insults, defamation, character assignation, you name it.

Well, since your entire post is at the top of a thread in this forum, I didn't see the need - besides, most of it was the usual drivel anyway. But you'll be glad to see I haven't left out a single of your precious words this time. After all, your's are the only words that count, at least in your mind.....

Respectfully,

Jim

Actually Appian was my first multimonitor card got rid of it years ago other cards are way better now. What do you have a ancient Jeronimo or Duet? The Hydrovision software is still ok.

I see that you've continued to find not-so-creative ways of weaving us into your neverending stream of pointless posts.

However, It has become patently obvious that you've determined that my life is far more interesting to you than your own.

Here's a first, so write it down: We wholeheartedly agree!

Peace-

Right now I believe there is “irrational exuberanceâ€￾ (to coin a phrase from Alan Greenspan) regarding NYMEX Crude Oil Futures prices. There is an interesting “Bullâ€￾ vs. “Bearâ€￾ battle that could begin. The market has come a long way, very fast and the question is the market in a “demand or speculativeâ€￾ rally?

I’m of the opinion that there will be significant volatility and when the correction comes, and it always does in every market, it will be swift and painful as fear of losing profits becomes reality.

Time will tell and it will be interesting to watch because I believe 80% of trading is psychology and 20% is mechanics, which makes it so difficult, even for the professionals.

Thanks for your comments and joining the US Airways board. By the way, with oil “ripppingâ€￾ to the upside I understand your company, United Airlines, is in deep, deep trouble.

Isn't that speculation, which you claim not to do?
