Company Match of Prefunding Refund

Will all this get me my "prefunding match" back?? :)
All I know is that when I DO get that match I'm going to do with it what it was intended for. Reinvest it for paying my medical when I retire.

Deregulation, Competition from low cost carriers, Competition from Major carriers, Oil Prices, Bad economies and global economic collapse, Internet pricing, Too many seats chasing too few passengers, Fare wars, SARS, 9/11, Terrorist attacks, Poor management decisions and of course Bankruptcy laws that favor the creditors over the workers.

Exactly. All just excuses. lmao.....
Funny thing is those are alot of political issues that the TWU and the AFL-CIO spend millions claiming to protect our interest. Another of many failures?

Well if Union members and citizens possibly like yourself don't assist them in those fights and at least vote, then you're right in saying failure. But who are the real failures?

You can't be serious in your defense of the TWU.  The pay and benefits cuts that were cobbled together by the TWU over the last 12 years for the AMTs at AA are well beyond what other large airlines AMTs agreed to.  To make matters worse, the same cuts will be with us for another 5 years with this cost neutral contract.  The sneaky ways your TWU heros tried to divide the membership, by age, work group, location, the list goes on.  Were the contracts really voted in?  Who counted the votes?  Everything the TWU gets involved with is essentially a scam on the membership.  One of my favorite TWU jokes, is the big deal they make about the Quill scholarships, what do the winners get? like a $1000.00 per year - what a sham.

The creativity that the TWU went into to take benefits away from us, is where their real talent lies.  Now, all those jobs that those TWU rocket scientists thought they were going to save, are long gone.  The cuts they negotiated, and convinced enough members to vote yes on - still remain though.  I'm glad you're able to laugh your arse off, only a real tool - would think this POS contract is funny.

Why is it that the AMTs at AA are the lowest paid in the industry or next to last, with the worst benefits bar none?

Thanks TWU

I hope you also research their voting records and the bills they've sponsored and write a letter of support. It's very easy to do online now.

Judge Lane then made it clear that his ruling was imminent.
It is my intent to issue something shortly, within the next week or two, and I mention that so that people don’t have to engage in litigation not knowing what the time frame is,” Lane stated.

With all the time that judge lane has had to make his ruling, my question is.

IF THE TWU MADE A BIG ENOUGH STINK ABOUT THIS SINCE THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT WAS NEGOTIATED AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. PART OF OUR PACKAGE DEAL WITH AA.

WOULD WE HEAR MORE OR LESS ABOUT WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THE MONEY THAT AA SO CLEARLY PUT OUT THERE IN JETNET WITH THE ATTEMPT TO GET AS MANY AS POSSIBLE TO TAKE THE EARLY OUT.

WHERE IS MY MATCH MONEY, IT'S MINE AND I WANT IT NOW......

Judge Lane will give his decision on or after Wednesday or maybe into early next week. If they eliminate the Retiree Medical before the final Equity Distribution it can negatively effect the amount of shares the creditors end up getting.

How so?

Equity is given to those that take a loss within the bankruptcy process and it is meant as a recovery in any losses. If they take away a contractual item from the retiree's, such as their benefits, they have the right to lay a claim just like the rest of the creditors. Since the Equity has already been divided up, it would mean any additional claims to be paid would have the come the the current creditors' share.

Don't you see how there has been nothing said since January 23rd, 2012 (the last hearing on the retiree medical issue) and now that we're close to end of the Equity Distribution Judge Lane has suddenly indicated he will give his decision on what the Company can do with the Retiree Medical close to the final distribution date.
