The windfalls occur in the years to come, it has been well documented. The thousands of Captain years that transfer from the East pilots to the west pilots. In this zero sum game, that is a windfall.

If you can't come up with anythng I am going to have to assume you agree with me. You don't like it obviously but you cannot refute what I have said I guess...

I see!! Ok now tell me again how much of this captain time you speak of was out there prior to this arranged marriage?? You see Ralphie boy AAA was on the verge of liquidation as stated by Scott Kirby. That with which you speak concerning the "well documented" is the same the panel was shown and only you east pilots see it no one else. You forget that you had days before doors closure yet you feel entitled to what we have!! Binding means binding Ralphie boy and to date you have proven to the entire aviation community that you don't honor your agreements.

Why shouldn't we share in that attrition? Let's agree that we both helped our financial futures (AWA and AAA). If no one is better than the other then why shouldn't we be a party to the "Capt years?"

I mess with you because you're easy!!! Your career didn't turn out like you wanted it to and or thought it would so you blame us in the west like we did it to you!!! It's all the west's fault!! If they had just left well enough alone we would be on our way to profits and attrition. Our company was in bankruptcy for show only. We had just about half of our pilot group on furlough to make it all look good!! Well i for one wish that the first deal would have gone thru with ATA and then the world would have really seen just how strong and profitable you were. What seems to always bother the intelligent mind is how and why you were in bankruptcy in the first place or should I have said the second in 24 months place??? With such a profitable operation, shouldn't you have been hiring instead of furloughing?? Shouldn't you have been growing instead of returning large aircraft for smaller RJ's??? I guess we will never know now will we???

Now I spoke or in this case wrote in general terms so when I made the statement that you blame the west for the way your career turned out it was not just directed in your direction but many many east pilots that write on this forum.

Normally I prefer not to throw anything out here if it is not concrete but...

I was in talking to D. D. (assistant chief in phx) the other day and during our conversation we spoke of the conundrum the east and west faces. He indicated that there would be significant movement on behalf of the company regarding out contract. Better pay for all. Better retirement and better work rules. D.D. is the one and only I'd trust in this office. So take it for what it is worth...

I know it's just rumor out on the line but I am hearing rates for narrow capt @ 12yrs is north of 170. Wide north of 215. Apparently if true DP is gonna throw money at us to settle this dispute... But this is pure rumor guys. Take it with a grain of salt...

Ah..My Bad...I've always suffered from a severe reading impairment = I take words and phrases to mean what they say.

I think that your stuff's best covered by the Yogi Berra reference: "I didn't really say all the things I said."

PS: Don't fret over the "lighten up or get laid"...this AWA stuff's purely cheap grins to read for me of late. 😉 Points for the excellent phrases though, clearly the product of the "intelligent mind" working away feverishly 😉

Why do you guys refuse to comment on my statements regarding your windfall comments? Regardless of ones opinion concerning whether a windfall occured or not is irrelevent in this case. You see the negotiations failed amongst our respective merger committee's. When that happens the process steers us to mediation then to arbitration. Which my AWA bretheren have made clear is in fact binding! So do you or do you not understand that when you went to arbitration you surrendered your ability to control the outcome other than the presentation of your position to the arbiter. The arbiter is in no way bound by ALPA merger policy. Does the arbiter try to follow the guidelines? Sure! But he/she is not bound by them. IF we had come to a list such as this without the involvement of the arbitration board then yes you would have an argument. But we didn't so you don't. Please debate something that is debatable...

Try something like should we have gone to arbitration or should we have been more willing to compromise with each other....

Short, sweet and to the point. This should be printed on the Starbucks cup sleeves for all the east to read.

Hmmm...I didn't realize that any actual "principle" diminished in value over time, even if by disregarding all principles, as you seem perfectly comfortable with, might prove financially beneficial. Umm..what exactly, in your mind, IS our "principle" at issue here? ...

Oil is 80$ a barrel and going higher. We have an opportunuity to get some money out of this company yet you focus on a tired principle. The east can be summed up in one word, EMOTIONAL!!!! Emotions seem to rule the day for you fine bunch. All of your actions are emotion without the benefit of any intellect what so ever. They have cost you in the past and you have failed to learn from your prior mistakes. This is not an insult EYE but rather fact!! You keep letting the fish you catch get away and soon you will starve. I do hope you understand and again this is not an insult on you...

Some things are not based on money alone. And no it's not a tired principle. It's unionism at its core. So I guess I'm not as progressive as some of you are.
