Cav...you're grasping again. What you fail to realize is you're up against professionals and you're trying to compete with a little league team. You can't seem to grasp you have to play the game the same way they do so therefore you will lose the game handily.
I never said for you to put all your faith in the Daves but what you've done is even worse. You've put your faith in an organization that with it's very structure can't find it's way to the end of a straight line. Planning goes a long way and if they had done any of it you wouldn't be where you are today.

As for comebacks...well, I won't do as you and yours do when confronted with things you can't answer and that is attack, call names, make fun of peoples names, distort etc. I could go on and on so go ahead and blast away. We're use to it.
If you can't take a little heat, and I mean little because I was FORCED to cool my duels on here, than go post on the Mary Poppins site, or maybe Sesame Street, whatever, you get my drift.

What you are telling us the IAM members to do goes against what a union even is, which that is why you are probably asking, I don’t know. Or maybe you actually believe what you're saying from lacking understanding on your part, again I don’t know.

Oh my, professionals we are up against you say! Professionals of what? Professional liars? Professional magicians that make the unions go away because they provide a livable wage, hindering their lavish life styles of only millions instead of billions.

No you will never understand me, you don’t know me from Adam, and you don’t know my background, my life. I have been through more then most people could possibly endure and it has not broken me, but only tempered me. What I see on here saddens me knowing people of power make people who BELIEVE they have NO power grovel at their feet, beg for crumbs to survive. What you see in me is a steel resolve you and people like you will never understand. Until you lived my life and walked in my shoes don’t even pretend to be the wiser calling me stupid or a fool. This life is more than what this is all about; too bad you have yet to figure it out.

You usfliboi and others post your stuff and now you want us to be silenced. How democratic is that. This is not a dictatorship just because we do not share the same common thoughts.

Piney. I love the south. When is the move? What they do after they lose is fine as long as they abide by the contract. In the airlines people live and commute from all over. Happens every day. No big deal.

Unions don't shut down companies, corporate executives do!
Uh huh...so if IAM goes on strike for a month, and the company has to shut down as a result, then it's not the union that shut down the company, right?

Just like the wife beater that wouldn't beat his wife if she only did what she was told.

The union is only allowed to strike if the company is not abiding by the terms of the contract and then only under certain conditions. I guess you know that though.

Name one company the a union has shut down? (and don't say EAL, Lorenzo made the bad decisions that caused them to go out of business)
EAL wouldn't have shut down without both contributors. To place blame on only one side is myopic.

It's not about taking heat Cav. It's about having an intelligent conversation without name calling and the personal attacks. I have thick skin, it doesn't bother me. I choose to ignore it rather than respond in kind. I can take criticism without shouting someone down for their views. I haven't found that to be true with others on these boards if you get my drift.
Secondly, I never told the IAM what they should do. I made comments and points as to how they've failed themselves. If you can't take that heat I'm sorry. It's not a personal thing. Don't take it as such.
Thirdly, they are professionals and they are eating your lunch. Is it right? Of course it isn't but you have to play to win and we haven't seen anything close from the IAM. I honestly hope you win the grievance in arbitration. I've said that previously and I say it today. The work belongs in house but that doesn't mean that's where it's going to end up.
Lastly, you are right. I don't know you or where you come from. I don't know your background or your life. On the same theme you have no idea of those subjects relating to me or anyone else on these boards. Each of us on here are adults and have endured many things. Some more, some less but nonetheless we have all had a dose of reality at some point in our lives so to think you're the only one to suffer is misguided. Each of us are entitled to our opinions just as you are. I welcome the debate on mine and I hope you do the same about yours.

I never intended to call you stupid or a fool or imply as such and if that is what came across I apologize to you.

You know what...we don't need no stinking facts to back it up or explain squat to you or your kind.
Unless, of course, you're trying to convince someone you're right. And if you're not trying to convince someone you're right, why are you arguing the point?

These people don’t care if everyone is on the streets as long as they get theirs, it simply doesn’t matter.
Funny, from the position you've been arguing, you sound like "these people." Shut the company down, and everyone's out on the streets. And you said you don't care if they are, as long as you "keep your dignity" (read: "get yours").

I don't want you silenced Pitguy...just a spirited debate would be nice. Different points of view help all to see a subject more clearly.

...this management could care less about cost savings. They want our wages and benefits....to the lowest levels in the industry.
To what end? If they're not doing it to lower costs, then what's the point?
