Hummell should resign. He shouldn't get special treatment like he is getting. End of story.

Maybe he should. Maybe someone whom he respects should approach him and recommend such, if only for his own health. Maybe if he was inundated with emails from the rank and file asking him to resign, he would defer to those who elected him. But when his political enemies are the loudest voices demanding his resignation, because of dull axes in some cases, then to me it reeks of political backstabbing.

And BTW, let me know if you want some examples of individuals getting special treatment before Hummel got elected.

Till next week, over and out.

Agreed. I wish the man no ill will, and hopefully; quickly renewed health, but if he's listed as a pilot, yet being paid by the company as some sort of special employee that currently isn't qualified....Well....exactly what are they paying him for, or to do/etc? Wouldn't everyone else be burning sick time and addressing disability? It all begs for some unsavory questions to be answered, starting with: Why is the company paying him to be the union's president?

I'd think the only honorable course for him would be to accept nothing more than any line pilot would get under similar circumstances.

Option B: Give all pilots the same benefits....Period!

I did email him two two weeks ago and he gave me some bs story like he would be back to work soon. Now the entire pilot group is suffering because of his actions

It would be a real shame if pilots who don't have a medical are being treated unequally, especially if some are accruing sick time with full pay and others are now out of sick time. This is a joke, right? Everyone is being treated equally, right? This is just a political stunt, right? Surely none of the alleged facts are true, right. No one would accept full pay and sick accrual without a medical, without turning a tiller, right?

No one would accept unequal pay for equal work (or non work), right? and worse yet no one would oppose a grievance aimed at equal pay, right? (Well, other than the West opposing pay parity.). No one else would do that, right?

Sad but true that some are "more equal" than others. Take for instance the leadership of our country. From the president (whoever might be in office) to the senators and congressmen and women. I guess it is sort of like the old management arguement that you have to pay more to keep the talent. From where I'm sitting I don't think that is working very well.

All the best,

Bob

I have a couple of questions to ask all of the Hummel supporters. If Mike Cleary were in the situation that Hummel is in do you think the company would continue to pay him his regular salary? Or would they pay him using his sick bank? Would the Compass Corruption be fervently supporting Cleary in office at full pay not using sick time? How about the west pilots what would they be saying about Cleary receiving special treatment?

Hate

USAPA has a leader that not only can't fly, he can't even non-rev at this time. I have to think if this was Cleary everybody would be up in arms. Why is the west hands off?? Hummm. The company taking care of a union leader, couldn't be.......

Yes, the public representatives seem to have little reluctance to build executives bathrooms, kitchens, vacation homes, limos, retirements, and caviar.. all for themselves while the peasants are left to fend for themselves.

In the past we saw ALPA "leaders" make decisions that bewildered us.. how could they do THAT? Hurt us and benefit the company? We wondered if they were receiving something that would explain their favor toward the company.

Is the "mystery" now revealed... or should we consider that DUI has a task for his teacher's pet that none have even yet considered? You aint seen nothing yet...!?

Of course they'd pay him!! After all he owns the USAPA TRADEMARK....HHHHAAAAA!!!!!

I wonder if the real USAPA... You know, the elderly pickleball players know that they owe tribute to a psychotic bi-polar, narcissistic former Airline Pilot?
