Good point. Nic and pals know more about LOA93 than the rest of us... They claim we are all on food stamps and living in section 8 housing...

Trying to screw the West pilots has maybe cost you that vacation, that new car, and addition to the double wide trailer.

It's a very satisfying thought knowing you've paid the price.

Denying you DOH is icing on the cake

www.nicisthenic.com (translates in www.stupidisthestupid.com West pilots should just die on the vine and rot in PHX. Denying you scum a job would be our greatest satisfaction. :)
West pilot contract: "

SENIORITY
A. GENERAL
1. Seniority of a Pilot shall begin on the Pilot’s Date of Hire."

You figured out that when a pilot gets hired his employment date determines his place on the seniority list.

Why should that be? Isn't everything supposed to be entirely relative in this world? Why not just use astrological signs or shoe sizes? What conceivable value does DOH have as a determining factor for anything? Why ever use it for anything at all?

Honestly: How can anyone rationally justify DOH as both a widely accepted and fully reasonable basis for determining seniority...but immediately dismiss such logic whenever the word merger is mentioned? The term blatant opportunism must necessarily be submitted in place of well-established logic, whenever performing such convenient mental gymnastics.

I'd say it's more a case that it's that complete lack of logical consistency that's been giving everyone trouble in this industry.

PS: I've finally figured out the solution! What we do is build a replica of the Oracle of Delphi's temple, place inside a well-restored, carnival Gypsy Fortune Teller kiosk that dispenses cards for coins, install a deck that grants or denies a person's (seniority) wishes, and voila! We've solved the problem! No need for logic of any kind, nor tribal shamans-arbitrators/lawyers/con artists of any sort, and we could all pick up a few bucks monthly from the tourist revenue! ;)

... and we could all pick up a few bucks monthly from the tourist revenue! ;)

Admittedly; we'd need to upgrade the show considerably to ensure a steady stream of tourists, but...based on the "logic" and "intelligence" concerning seniority that's been demonstrated by industry-wide pilots in recent years...well...the Gypsy Fortune Teller kiosk should more than suffice for our needs.

Good for you.

It's the that merger thing that's giving you trouble.
Again, Dan, for the logic impaired....why should years of service and/or date of hire if not furloughed at the time of merger be discriminatory. This is the reason we HAVE McCaskill-Bond....because the APA pilots used the same logic against TWA that you and the West want to use against the East. You're less valuable than your counterpart here because your company has no value ergo we're worth more. Talk about entitlement. I still have more Captain time than you. I'm senior to you. Go pound sand.

See how hard it is to prove a DFR ? Nice quote founding scab father. Damn you're an idiot.

Well...then one must also consider recent entries from "spartans": "Rot in Hell"/etc, and if you actually believe insulting remarks or ill wishes in internet chat constitute any DFR,...well..."Damn you're an idiot" barely begins to adequately address your intellectual qualifications. ;)

The TWA guys got screwed because they didn't get their category and status.

No way they deserved a LOS seniority integration.

I've got five pilot seniority arbitrations in a row that prove you're the one logic impaired.

USAPA owes a DFR. Your only remedy was staying Alpa with separate ops. You gambled a billion dollars and lost. Face it. You all see it coming. Why so afraid of a court room?

Nobody is afraid of court. This will be right back at the 9th. Just like the first.

What has it cost you all those bad years at AWA? Millions.

Trying to screw the West pilots
Nobody is trying to screw the West. Until you get the idea of the East pilots protecting what they brought to the table, you will always be off base. All you are doing is promoting the delusion of your leap frog theory and injecting animosity between the pilot groups. YOU are wrong, snap! breeze

You've got nothing, Traitor. We have discussed this before! Of those 5 mergers, splain to us pacifically just how many have settled things and moved on with their integrations. breeze
