article on profit sharing

Ha Ha LuLu. Now go sweep a floor or flip a burger. Whatever you do to earn a living I suspect.
I don't find shame in doing honest work. I did actually sweep floors for a glass factory for $12.75 an hour (to start) years ago, full benefits. I have never "flipped a burger" but I did work in fast food during my teenage years taking orders (register not waiter) and washing dishes. If it was flip burgers or starve I would happily flip burgers, I have a wife of 15 years to take care of. My sister put herself through college working in the food service industry (as a waitress), she is now an RN and on her way to Nurse Practitioner (as soon as her husband finishes his engineering degree).

You tried to demean me but all you really did was make yourself look like a fool, not hard to do in your case. Only an idiot would run someone down for what they do for a living.

By the way I work on computer networks for a living.... in case you were wondering. Before American Airlines I was an electrician.

I have to go now, I am going to go make a burger in the kitchen then sweep the floor.

What are you talking about, or are you just talking?
If you really don't know what I'm talking about I guess that your real name just might be Sybal? I'll make a note that you have MPD then.

IMHO we deserved BOTH the 4.3% raise AND a decent profit sharing plan. I do not understand the mentality of one or the other. That's the kind of thinking that helps keep us at the bottom.

It was offered to us in bankruptcy by Doug Parker in exchange for supporting the merger. Had he not been successful we would have continued with PS but not received the raise.

It was not a case where we were collectively bargaining.

A 4.3% raise that has more overall value for the year especially compounded year over year.
More value for the year?  Wrong mister.  Take your 4.3% raise, for one year, X's 2080, what do you get?  About 2,000-3,000 for one year, as you stated. Now the PS for one year would have been approx, let's say one months pay as the rest of the industry is receiving.  That's alot more than the simple raise you speak of for one year.  Get a clue brother...

This topic has nothing to do with AMFA. Please take your comments to another thread.
My comment had everything to do with AMFA.  Just because it's against what YOU believe, you will ask me to take it to another thread, not going to happen, get over it, move on, get a life, period, end of story...

I agree. As far as the mentality issue goes? You and I will have to ask the TWU International why they gave it up instead of just keeping it and negotiate a pay raise like a real union would do.

He is not a AMT or in the M&R group. He is just here to stir the pot and defend the TWU.

I couldn't agree more given the fact the PS formula was quite anemic.
