Article 4 Industry Comparable Pay rate

Highlight sheets suck, wheres the medical coverage and the match? Looks like industry averaging in place, crew chief rates the same, license premium lower.
 
The whole agreement will be made available as soon as they get it together, and its funny how so many of you are so quick to say it sucks, when you werent working under the current CBA and two chapter 11 agreements with a transition agreement.
 
They dont have a 401k match, they have a defined benefit plan, the IAMNPF.
 
Must be the IBT's fault....where it not for the raid, we would have been offered a decent contract!!!  I see at least fleet's side was offered a signing bonus.....

Chuck if Usair is at your current rate when they do the averaging you would have to take them out of the equation then and average just the 3 which put's the rate at $37.58 under your calculations.
 
If that's the "highlights" it's disappointing to say the least.

Doesn't bring them even close to industry standard.
 
Typical that they negotiate in Job security for line maintenance when there is a shortage of mechanics willing to come to this company.
 
We showed the company in BK how the penalty on sick time cost them $7 million a year. When AA implemented the penalty sick time spiked up, and stayed there. Instead of calling in sick for a day people called in for a week. M&E which up until then had much lower sick time usage than other departments went to much more sick time usage and stayed that way since 2004. Hope the IAM didn't put value in it. Mechanics now typically use more sick time than they accrue.
 
Also disappointing to see they are giving up seniority by having the company  pick crew chiefs. Looks like the IAM is still giving concessions to what is now the largest biggest grossing and likely the most profitable carrier  as if the carrier is in bankruptcy.  
 
Giving up the leverage of Section six for this turd is pathetic. Don't buy into how things will get better in joint, they wont, lets say they agree to joint deal that gives the pilots, flight attendants, Fleet service etc 3%, 3% and 3% which brings them to the top of the industry that's all they are going to agree with for us even though that would still leave us at the bottom. 
 
Keep your IAMNPF- want no part of that. Bans you from working in the industry and collecting a pension, wouldn't find that as offensive if they didn't negotiate bottom of the industry contracts.

The point is we need for US to be at $38 either way.

Its bid upon by seniority and then there is a panel interview and there is an IAM rep on the panel, been that way for a while now.

This has been going on at US since 2005, the three highest bidders interview and the company and union agree on who gets the position after the interview.
 
You forget its not AA management running the show, its US.
 
So you are saying the panel is evenly matched? If its not changed then why is it in the Highlights?  If its more management than union then the company picks. 
 
You forget that Parker came from AA. Seems they are cherry picking out permanent concessions from our BK deal for slight increases to a still substandard wage. 
 
Exactly if it's not changed been going on since 2005 why is it in the highlights
