April/May 2013 Pilot Discussion

Not implying, repeating what I told from someone I trust. And not "west pilots" but "some west pilots". Some east pilots treat F/As unprofessionally. You are taking me out of context. It was a response to Dandy Dave's "we ALWAYS enjoy.....", or however he put it.

I think it's a good thing they are mixing it up a bit.

You know what is going to happen, Pi. We have some that are going to resist on each side and make for an interesting day in the box. That's it in a nutshell.

This would have resolved the Nic dispute before it started.

No airline, No Nic.

Problem solved.

"Of course, America West could have another agenda for US Airways – liquidation. If America West gained control of the failing airline for a mere $100 million and then sold off the assets piece by piece, they could offload debt and eliminate unprofitable routes and duplicate resources. America West could essentially "cherry pick" the most profitable routes and assets, such as the shuttle or some international routes.
American Airlines deployed a similar strategy, acquiring dying TWA several years ago in a "fire sale" only to unload most of the assets and furlough most employees. Sadly, it's a lot easier to liquidate than integrate. Yes, it's nasty business, but perhaps a more rational explanation for America West's perplexing interest.
Oddly enough, the liquidation of US Airways is the one scenario in this merger that could save America West. But integration or liquidation, US Airways' fate is sealed. The carrier will cease to exist in the long term whether the merger goes through or not."

America West - airline parasite.

Yea, we heard that from the former East pilots hired prior to 2005.

Less motivated individuals were flying their model airplanes in their spare time while waiting on being called back to a non-existant job on the East.

We appreciate the former East pilots who contribute to the cause of defending seniority. Being proactive has it's benefits.
Those less motivated individuals you speak of can hold wide body positions making more money than their west counterparts and they there's no need to waste money donating to the AOL.

The Street's Ted Reed. USAPA has the former US Airways mouthpiece on speed dial.

Thanks for keeping the seats warm on those "wide bodies"

I anxiously await you or any other yellow lanyard wearing pilot letting me know when I am senior enough. Then we'll make sure a judge signs off on it.
How's your flame baiting going? After reading your last few posts, you are not having much luck. Cornered animal.

It won't be me or any other pilot, it will be a system bid, when your length of service gives you a rightful place on that bid ! MM! I anxiously await also!

America West - airline parasite.

I think you are confused about the relationship between a parasite and a host.

In biology, a host is an organism that harbors a parasite, or a mutual or commensal symbiont, typically ...

Do be sure to explain to the APA, and AMR employees in general, that PHX and the mighty AWA's really the main body/"host" of the assemblage. I'm sure they would also appreciate your interesting sense of humor. I certainly can't help but laugh. :)

I can only imagine the scene: "We're "spartans", so we're really, really important! Just ask us! We're the most important people here/anywhere! We've even made absurdly infantile videos and printed T-shirts to prove it!" The most likely AMR employee response = "WTF?...Who ARE these idiots?" :)

  Yea, let's go with that. Meanwhile, APA's perception of you just gets better and better. I'll just bet you're a hoot to fly with. I'm looking forward to it. Have a great night, and know all is well. This is Sparta!!
