Flown with several captains on the west that were smokers. The only airline I can think of off the top of my head that doesn't allow it is Alaska.

For those in the know, updates on Captain Hummel's condition would be appreciated. Thanks.

yeah junior pilots looking to jump the line woulnd't know that pilots smoke. When I started CAPT's used to light up in the cockpit. with the window open.

I've talked with Gary, can't say I know him that well but I wish him a full recovery.

Weak. You can do better than that. Judging people? This from a person who keeps posting that stupid Assie clip you hypocrite.

About my avatar. That is a poster from Nocona Boots which is the brand I wear. I did not notice the smoke but I did notice the scorpion crawling up the leg about to get thumped. Keep coming back because I will thump you every time.

It's a fact that smoking related diseases took my family members away. Three were dead by 1972. I remember watching my grandfather smoking Camels. I remember when cigarette ads were on TV. We all know the dangers of smoking and we all make choices. I never smoked but remember Walt Garrison pushing smokeless tobacco. It was considered a safe alternative to smoking which was simply not the case due to oral cancer.

The info is out there about the hazards of tobacco use we are all free to make choices and live or die as a result.
