who said anything about debating.u guys havent got anything yet so pipe down. Put up the loa buddy if you want to inform the membership.
Tim,
I take exception to your statement "u guys havent got anything yet so pipe down." Being from a station, of several, that were on the chopping block, your statement shows little regard for the livelihood of the members in the said stations. I understand your point of view, being from a large station such as ORD, but it epitomizes the disregard large stations have for the countless members in the outline stations. I guess you would have been OK with sacrificing those several stations and countless members in the coming months. I, for one, am glad the NC, took a stand and fought for my future. I know it is not in your best interest to acknowledge achievement of the current team. Speaking for myself and the members in my station, who work in one of the several subject to outsourcing , this LOA was a significant achievement. Let's give credit where credit is due.

But this is good news , two of our stations are now safe from out sourcing for at least a year .

No, it's testament to how sh*tty the language in your CBA was in the first place.

Your AGC's (and NC) are now having to expend energy to control the bleeding instead of working toward the betterment of your career(s).

That's not a victory, that's called being on the back foot.

IAM/LCC/CC ? Article 3 -Recognition and Scope.Pgs.8-9. What happens with stations that were protected under the US/LCC May 8, 2008 CBA. Several that still have F/S Agents fall below the 7 flts. a day 49 a wk. operating with A/C with more than 69 seats ?
I think you are misreading what I'm posting, if not I apologize, I don't understand your question. There isn't any language that states 7 flights per day, or 49 a week. The new loa sates 7 mainline a WEEK.

cb i extend my sincerest thanks to you n the nd team for getting some seniority protection in some of those smaller cities.. being from one of the original ones that of course closed i feel a lot better knowing you and the crew are gettin better protection n scope etc. good luck in dfw in 10 days. and keep fighting hard

Thanks we appreciate it. We still have a ways to go. As far as seniority protection, we also reached an agreement that will integrate both fleet service groups at US and AA regardless of who the surviving union is. This will make sure we get day for day seniority protection when we combine the 2 work groups.

thats terrific that we will have protection for the fsa in the merger. is that doh
Our goal at this time was to protect what our members have now, make sure we wouldn't get just partial credit. This past week we were able to finalize that. There will be a seniority integration team put together I would assume to determine just what date we will go by. But whatever the date, it will be protected day for day.

Let's see one Union was working under a BK contract and the other one was coming from a "lowcost airline" and somehow we should have had an industry leading contract then right ?

thats great cb i probably speak for most members here and in the airline but i again want to reiterate my sincerest thanks for all the hard work you and the nd team are doing im glad that at least for seniority we have protection hopefully you and the nd team can continue to build the strength of financial areas enhance the benes etc and of course fix repair what ever to make the sick policy better than what it is

as for merger seniority i for one think that doh is most likely the best and the fairest way to go about just my .02 cent

As always we appreciate the information. My hope is that movement is immenent from this company. I keep seeing commercials all the time about how the New AA is going to be so much more improved for the customer. Lets hope that trickles down to the membership that has more than pulled their weight leading up to this merger.

i really have no idea what you are talking about since nobody has been a bigger advocate for small stations than me. Why would you suggest jax is much different than ord? Ord and all class 2 stations have always been subject to contracting out in april. Ord is a "small" station much like ind was. Cb said that the scope was done until when the joint talks start and if thats good enough for you then i think you have seriously disregarded small stations. We need to expand scope not play games like cb did and stick a one year band aid on the asshat scope we have now. Cb says there is progress. Lmfao! Where? We got members that cb hasnt been able to get a penny pay raise for. Will it come easy? No. But when management reads this forum and we have our nc say "progress" but are still stuck with a nasty situation then that telegraphs back to management that we think crumbs is progress. Sorry but cb talked fast and when i asked him to show us the loa he decided to blow smoke. If he is going to talk about the loa then he needs to be upfront and let us see it. I also recommend that our members are worth more than having to get information from "alias". Why not post under his real name? Whats the fuss?
regards,

tim i believe that 700 explained it in either this or the M&R that it has to go thru channels to be released at least that is how i interpted it..
but to be honest with you i think that at least a 1 yr bandaid as you call it is at least progress bec in a yr time from now we could and most likely will be very well on the road in progressin with the AA merger. now if i were to compare the progress now vs the stations such as the one i was in id say im glad those folks have something that a lot of us lost in 2005 at the expense of the company and the ch11 judge..
i for one believe cb and the nd team are doing a hell of a good job compared to randy canary bird regime

I for one do not think protecting the jobs of our fellow unionist is "crumbs" ... This company could have legally terminated the jobs of our memebers while we take XYZ amount of time in moving towards a new contract ...

I've already stated and will state again that my number one concern moving forwards is job protections FOLLOWED by compensation gains ....

I am thrilled that this NC has been able to achieve my first set of priorities.

on what grounds would you consider the company terminatin your employement while we take the xyz amt of time towards a new contract?

Sorry I was referring to outsourcing as job termination ... While in many cases an employee can recloate for some that is simply not possible and the closing of a station means loss of employment.
