Another School Massacre

Oh, that's classic.

What's sad is I don't think any of those "in the process of being educated" really connected "concentration camp" or execution statements for what it really meant.

Our young are no longer taught anything even approaching honest history anymore, so we shouldn't be surprised, I suppose.

The horse is long gone from that barn. We live in a gun mentality and no legislation is going to reverse that. The casualties are acceptable losses and that is life.

I think the fact that people feel the need to be armed in a "civilized" society says a lot about that society.

He killed the first three people with a knife, what do we do about that?
He is nuts and nothing anyone can do about crazy people who kill people and have no regard for life.

Sure, great argument.  Cant stop all the mayhem so why bother to stop any of it.  How many stabbings were there in the US as opposed to shootings?

But as I said earlier the issue of gun control has left the barn a long long long time ago.  I do not believe that there is any legislation that can fix the problem this coutry has with gun violence.  I do not believe guns make us safer.  I think people get guns to make them feel safer because society has broken down and we accept violence as a solution.  All the guns in the world will not fix that.

No, quite the opposite. Nuts will find any means to fulfill their goal (whatever twisted goal that may be).
Banning 'guns' is a feel good approach that doesn't address the violent behavior we see today.
Even if we had a mental health back ground check requirement, this kid is still under the radar.
Banning 'all weapons' sounds good but insane people will circumvent the law to achieve whatever mindless act regardless if a 'gun' is the tool or not.

The kid had semi-auto weapons but 'chose' to kill his first three victims with a knife.

He was nuts...

Why is it that gun death out number stagings by a margins of 8 to 1 last time I looked. Last time I checked it's easier to kill many people quicker with a gun than with any other weapon. That is why the military has all those fancy new weapons no not swords and bayonets. The argument that people will find a way is old and tired. Yes they will find a way but let's not make it too easy.

No legislation will work. We have committed our self to the current path. It will go where it goes and there will be casualties. In 2010 there were over 31,000 gun related deaths. The numbers will probably continue to increase. Cost of doing business I guess.
