The fact that in Texas you can buy a gun with out a back ground check much less an ID check means we have stupid/ineffective gun laws.

Ya' just gotta' laugh at the supposed "logic" within such a tragically oblivious condition. You can't make this kinda' stuff up. ;) Let's examine the "logical" validity of that notion by way of opening it up a wee bit:

Don't laugh people! Somewhere....there just may be a gangsta'-hamster who's stolen car's broken down, that's about to get off the bus in front of his house...only to find that a hairdryer was left plugged in with a jelly bean stuck inside, which started a raging fire that blew up the meth lab! :) Universal background checks and proper jelly bean registration would prevent this sort of thing from ever happening! Btw, if you're wondering: The subject hamster's an "undocumented alien" and didn't need no steenkeeng ID or driver's license for the car....or anything else, and already illegally owns 2 AR's.

Yes the killing of an adult and the stabbing and rape of a 10 year old is a big snore in your picket fence community. Still it should shock you that the FBI had taken the sexual predator in and was holding him, but decided to let him go with an ankle monitor, that he disabled, and a promise that he wouldn't go to child porn sites, which he did. The funny part is that the pedophile lived in a very high strung picket fence community, and neighbors let their kids roam freely.

Even funnier is that the State police put him in a holding cell, where the criminals assaulted him when they found out what he did.

Why? I have witnessed more violence in the south bronx during the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's
than any soldier in todays military in Afghanistan ( just pull the compstat reports from the 44 & 46 precincts). you guys railing against gun control and throwingnheadlines of violence and then telling me we need more guns is laughable.

you think violence is scary business? It is worse than you think in the bronx , and similar places, where guns flow in freely from virginia. dead librarians? sandy hook? Aurora? All horrible but we created this condition with our laws or lack of laws. And people who feel they can protect themselves with guns.
