AMT Teamsters Drive

Today A TWU Supporter asked me to sign a Teamsters card.

He was surprised to find that mine was already signed and mailed in.

NHBB, as a retiree I do not believe you are eligible to sign a card. But I do believe that you are allowed to attend union meetings. Just ignore the rented twu coffin as you go to the hall. ;)
Maybe he should sign one anyway because the AA/TWU TeAAM will likely include his name on the list.

Where do I get some Teamster cards. I want to get involved as soon as possible. It is obvious that our local president is bound for AA management. I think a full regime change has to happen befor the negotiations begin. I don't care for Teamsters eather but we have to get the TWU out of our profession as soon as possible. AA can't save their lap dog union this time.

Do not think I like the TWU I got the shaft from them, but dont you think any union that is voted in will get cozy with the company, looks like thats the normal, I dont like it neither do you unions are not what they were 20 years ago, airline industry is in a depressed state and easy violated due to SCABS and outsourcing, I am out and will not come back even if recalled, but with 16 years, yes I was TWA, we were a strong group, shut down 200+ flights in/out STL to get Icons attention one nite on twi shift, that was the last time I can rember we stuck together, I still look at posts to see whats up, work for FPL now...............

<_< ---- Hell chillers! These people don't know what a union is! But the IAM screwed us over pretty good too! ;)

Your right, we have the company union twu. Please don't tell me its the iam. The last time they were a union was in 1989 at EAL.

The only recent airline union with any fight is AMFA.

I do not disagree that AMFA has resisted the Airline management who is putting the screws to the labor force.
We need to use all of our energy to get rid of the TWU and right now the IBT appears the best chance to accomplish this.
I think if the AMFA people would help with a Teamsters card drive it would bring some satifaction to see the TWU voted out of AA.

The AMFA people will gladly sign Teamster cards, but it's the TWU people(the defectors that is) who need to run the show. I'll sign any union card as long as it isn't the TWU,IAM,or ALPA.

<_< ----- We may have had our problems with the IAM, but let me tell you something sonny! As far as Contract language is concerned, it was head and shoulders above this thing we call a contract today!!!

Of that I have no doubt gramps. The Toilet Workers Union contract is gutted, and will remain so or worse until we dump them. It would most assuredly be better to be non-union than to have a company union that sells out even during the years with record profits.

Does MCI have any OSM's there yet??? That's a concession from 1995 that has saved AA billions and cost AMT's about that much in jobs and wages.
