Why not tell the Judge the same thing we are telling the company?Wow. That's all I can say. How can AA expect to have a successful conclusion to negotiations
with proposals like this. It's just not going to happened.
I have said it before and will say it again the only way AA employees will accept a concessionary
contract is if it's shoved down our throat by a bankruptcy judge.
In the mean time we need to hold on to what we have.
Why not tell the Judge the same thing we are telling the company?
We can't . A judge decision in this matters is final.
Wrong, the Judge can abrogate the agreement, not rewrite it. We need to fall back on what the the RLA says and get the support of the Labor movement and bring this BS to a head. 2003-05 may not have been the time, but now there is a growing intolerance of corporate greed. The NWA AFA only brought it halfway before agreeing to new terms. We can't . A judge decision in this matters is final.
The labor movement is busy with the OWS, trying to get new members in the years to come. There might be some members of labor who believe the message of the OWS ( big banks ripping the commoners off ) however the big labor does have an opportunity to score bug here, especially if the sitting president retains that seat. You guys getting the support of the labor movement probably has less of a chance of being successful as "Occupy Wall Street" has for reforming the banking system...

You can exchange it at any TWU hall. You mean I wasted my money buying a Che T-shirt?
I'm no company guy by no means but the idea of us getting this kick ass raise just ain't going to happen. Sure AA might come up a bit on the raises but with the world economy being in the toilet, dont look for a huge raise.Pay Proposal
The union said American offered a 3.21 percent raise in the first year, taken as a lump sum, a structural rate increase or a combination, followed by three annual boosts of 1 percent each. Pilots sought a 10 percent signing bonus, followed by 7 percent raises each of the next three years.
“I don’t see us moving off that figure,” Hoban said. “It’s a pretty reasonable offer.”
No raise for eight years and that is the best they can do. FU PAY ME
