Rusty, pilot yes. How does it affect me? It doesnt. I'd have to ask, how does it affect you, and the answer is: It doesn't! Every freakin' thread on this message board somehow gets morphed into a TWU/AMFA thread, whether it has anything to do with AA or not! (thank you dave, bucko). The very presence of this thread on this board, at a minimum is pointless!

One of the nice things about any public BB is that a person can decide for him/herself if the topic would interest them and if they would like to read it or not. Also if they are not sure they can read the first post and then decide if it interests them. Might I suggest if it does not interest you that you do not read it!!!! Our fight is with the TWU verses AMFA and not the pilots but, it does appear you would like to start something!!! Why is this???

Here is something that many don't realize. While the rank and file pilot may give lip service to AMFA (I hear it all the time,"...you guys need your own union...)," the APA hiarchy knows full well that once AMFA gets in, they're shAAre of the AA pie just got smaller. The APFA no doubt, feels the same. Did we forget the letter that came out in 2000 from Rich LaVoy and Denise Hedges? In this letter the afore mentioned duo stated that it was best for the mechanics stay with the TWU. Never mind that the APA is an independent non AFL-CIO affiliated union. The APFA is not only an independant non AFL-CIO affiliated union but the flight atendants at one time were part of the TWU. It's OK for them o have their own union but not for us. What hypocritical self promoting asses! :down:

The arbitration is posted and when the remedy is released I will post it. Until then you have no proof that I lied about anything. Call AMFA Local 33 and ask your questions. Better yet call Local 14.

Ed Norton, I suspect you are correct in your thoughts and I am thinking AAviator may be saying he would like to further our cause in the same manner as the TWU. Let me explain: The TWU has propelled the AMFA cause better than any AMFA supporter could ever have dreamed of doing. AAviator may be asking us to use his statements in the same manner. I will do a search and print out some of the better ones and take them to work. I do know that the mechanics I work with understand what is going on and this may trigger more cards. So far I have only seen him attacking some of the AMFA leadership trying hard to discredit them. The only thing I can think of that would help is if AAviator is a union officer or something like that. Does anybody know what his real name is and what or where he is in the APA???

Maybe after we are finished getting AMFA in AAviator could help us start a new cause in the airline industry!!!

Also I am thinking that because AAviator is attacking our leadership that this kind of opens up the APA leadership in some areas? This is not the first time I have watched his attacks and the more I see the more I dislike it but, hey its his right and I will stick up for his rights!!!

Rusty I support your bid for amfa. The sooner you guys are AMFA, the better in my book. My question for you is, why is OK for bucko to lie about amfa, when others are lynched for lying about the twu? Why will no one answer this question? My hope is, when you become amfa, all this crying, boo-hooing, and slobbering on the internet will stop. The contract was signed on May 11, 2001. The arbitration was awarded on October 6, 2003. Are you so ignorant that you cannot see that this is about PDX and station staffing?

"The Arbitrator stated that any and all of the listed work in articles 2© and 4© must be performed, as needed,by Northwest AMFA technicians during the flight day."

I took a copy of the arbitration to work yesterday morning, guess what I found, four others in 50 people had brought the same thing to work, hundreds of copies had already been made and were floating around the entire TUL base by the end of the day. I wonder why there was so much interest in something so "pointless" as AAviator said. Could it be AAviator has another agenda or is he just lying???
