Amfa Wins Pdx Arbitration

twaokc, currently at AA there is an AMFA drive in place and some people would like to know what they have been up to!!! Have a nice day!!!
 
:up: It was a big win and hopefully will set a standard for the NWA arbitration currently being decided to get the 600 or so mechanics back in MSP.

Its just killin' the twu that a union without the useless afl-cio is kickin' some ass!!!!!

This Arbitration basically states that if NWA flys into a station they must have technicians there. The Remedy or the award is yet to be determined.

What does it have to do with AA, it is all about station staffing. If you read the AA/TWU agreement there are set station staffing rules. This could even effect ours someday.

I don't read it like that at all, but I'll give you the benefit of doubt. Hypothetical question, based on your interpretation. If NWA flies a 747-400 to China, can the chinese do heavy overhaul work on it? It would be pretty easy to do you know......
 
This an arbitration in the United States at Portland. It is about Portland. This not my interpretation, it is what the ruling is about. Take the time as I did and call AMFA.

AAviator, what is your affiliation with mechanics and related? I thought you were a pilot, if so how does this affect AA pilots? Curious but, suspicious!!!

Yes they told me. First I am an Associate Member of AMFA and second, why would they hide this information? The arbitration award is just that, the remedy is the result.
 
Rusty, pilot yes. How does it affect me? It doesnt. I'd have to ask, how does it affect you, and the answer is: It doesn't! Every freakin' thread on this message board somehow gets morphed into a TWU/AMFA thread, whether it has anything to do with AA or not! (thank you dave, bucko). The very presence of this thread on this board, at a minimum is pointless!

This award is for NW, not AA.

The award clearly states: " The Arbitrator stated that any and all of the listed work in Articles 2© and 4© must be performed, as needed, by Northwest AMFA technicians during the flight day. "

So, what are Articles 2©, and 4©?

According to Bucko, (at 10:22 A.M.) if NW flies into a city, it must be staffed by NW AMFA mechanics. Talk about spin............ (thank you Bucko the AMFA parrot)

Do I know what Articles 2© and 4© are? No. Do I care? No. What if its something like a "B" check, do you think that NW will no longer require a "B" check on the "flight day" at that station? Does this have anything to do with AA? No. Should it be on this board? No. There was another board dedicated to this very subject: AMFA vs. TWU

I wish you guys could go amfa yesterday. Just quit your G_D belly-aching.

Why don't you just go and call in sick and get fined again. Talk about belly aching.

BTW, this could someday have something to do with us at AA, it is called station staffing.
 
Better yet Bucko, post the press release that says "if NW flies there, the station must be staffed by AMFA mechanics." Would that be an eye catcher or what....

Until then, you're nothing more than lying spin doctor. Just like those TWU reps you claim to hate so much.

p.s. with your interperative skills its quite possible that those very same TWU guys are telling the truth.
