AMFA at AA- consolidated thread

In AMFA's letter it states, and I quote; "The NMB then denied the right of AA mechanics to submit their authorization cards in favor of AMFA's intervenor status." Therefore if AMFA was denied submission of cards then they should not be considered as filed. Now let's say teamsters do not have enough cards, which we will know within a month. Then could AMFA file at that time since the cards were not submitted this time? Think about it guys.

Worse case scenario; Let's say no vote comes from the teamsters filing, TWU stays in place during merger, then could AMFA file under the other terms of a merger?

Now let's say for some mirical that the teamsters do get a vote, after this freakin fiasco, everyone could write AMFA in.
Just thinking out loud here guys. But per the NMB's ruling "AMFA's cards were never submitted". This tells me AMFA has a second chance to file if teamsters fail to get an election, or, at merger time, or if there really is an election, "write in AMFA". Give it some thought guys and let's throw some ideas around. Maybe a last resort is a class action law suit for rights violation of the AA mechanics. I am only going by the AMFA letter and I have no idea how the actual ruling is written by the NMB. Any input???
There has to be a qualifier here in order to be considered a valid filing. If not than the NMB is a total sham. One way or the other the mechanics are entitled to a democratic voice wether by write in or 50% plus 1 card count. Thanks swamt.

Travis,

You must see things from an American mechanics point of view. Our current union has cut deals with the co. time and time again. We suffered-they padded their wallets. Why would I want anything to do with a union that just cut a deal with the company to represent us? They have just proven to me that, like the TWU, they are about as caring and valuable to our plight as a bucket of warm piss. They will serve themselves, they will serve the company and if we are lucky they'll throw some crumbs our way as they pound their chests about how great the teamsters are.

The IBT don't give a rats a$$ about the TWU or IAM. The TWU and IAM are the ones in bed with each other.
And the ibt/AA/NMB are not in collusion?
Unions working with the company...Gee wonder how much that will cost the membership... :p

Unions Fu9king Unions.
That is why unions are dieing!

Gotta love it!

I don't think there will be an election. You see the teamsters and TWU and AA are working together to keep TWU in place. Hence the world record of having the list from the company so fast, matter fact they had it to the NMB in 6 hours. That has never been done before. Now the teamsters, TWU, and AA all knew how this was going to go down. They all knew the teamsters didn't have enough cards to begin with. So, for now, they were successful in blocking AMFA from comming in by AA getting the list to the NMB so quickly. So now that AMFA is blocked, and the teamsters do not have enough cards to call for an election, therefore, there will be no election and TWU remains. Talk about your "back door deals"!! Unbelieveable!!!

Seriously?? You are still making sh*t up?

Work for US! know all about the crumbs and the IAM chests pounds. What union got the biggest pay increases for SWA? (IBT). The TWU at AA failed its members as did the IAM at US, So its time for new voice. And if the IBT cant do its job ask SWA how fast they can be replaced by a new union. So as you can see I can see your point of view.
