AMFA at AA- consolidated thread

AMFA is reporting on their National website that the collusion between AA NLRB &
the f----- Teamsters/TWU has kept us from our legal rights to choose who we wish
to represent us again. Even the TWU freaks who take the kool-aid via the needle should be
disgusted with the tactics of the AA & the industrial union greed.
I hope I am wrong about this and I will be the first to admit it if I am, but I can't even
put into words how disapointed I am with all the dumb asses that took the Teamsters
lies hook line and sinker.
Knowing that AA would stack the list with retirees, why would they file when 400 plus
nonsigners were leaving via the early out? They Don't Have The F----- Cards!!!!!! They
never intended on filing, until the AMFA train got rolling. AMFA has the cards and the
names and proof of the numbers needed, and when the early out was fully implemented
they would have the cushion needed.
Dont think this is over, we still live in America & we need to use the legal system, get in
touch with your elected officials in Washington, and make yourself the biggest pain in the
ass to your TWU officials and Company management.
One of two things are going on here. Either this is a blocking maneuver for the twu and the company is very much on board with it or the company has plans to dump our pension funds into an ibt failing pension fund with no fight if the ibt were to be successful in winning an election. Either way the company wins. Why wouldnt the company help the ibt if they were able to dump the responsibility of our pensions on to the ibt?
Why shame on AMFA? Its the mechanics that are running this drive. We needed a cushion not just 50% plus 1 to be sure we had enough. If this B.S. is allowed to happen then no union ever has to worry about being voted out. All they have to do is get a crony union to file with not enough cards a few weeks before another union files and it stops everything. No incumbent union will ever have to worry about getting unseated after this ruling!!

Call these people and express your concern.

I have reported him numerous times, I guess its gonna take others as well.

He is really gonna have a fit when I post something that is gonna make him flip, just have to wait for the right timing.

Did I not make myself clear! No Vote! No Election! They do not have the cards.
They were returning the favor to the TWU for helping the Teamsters recruit UA.
We have the support be leave it, I dont know or could care less what is going on
at US Air but you might want to get the facts before you call people BSers

Why would IBT wait so long to file then if the didn't care about how many cards they had? That would give AMFA a chance to slip in under the wire which they almost did. You may not thiink you are BS'ing and I didn't say you were but you are reaching...time wil tell if the IBT has the cards... one thing is for sure the have enough at "U" and there will be an election..watch and see

Bridenstine - Teaparty stooge, Coburn - couldn't care less about union people, Inhoffe - Rightwing nutjob who makes all Oklahomans look stupid. I am not liking our chances here.

Like I said , I will be the first to say I was wrong if I am. You are not in Tulsa we have seen the support that was building
here for AMFA, so did the TWU and AA. If you were a member here you would know Tulsa has a very large group of non AMFA
or Teamster supporters who are leaving the company on an early out this week. Why not wait one or two weeks, the Teamsters
had been saying they were going to file once a month for the last six months when AMFA did not have enough cards. Unless they
forged more cards (again) they do not have enough.

They didnt know for sure if AMFA was going to file. They first tried to get off the hook to file by having forged cards. They thought the AMFA drive was dead and had to find a way out but when the drive re emerged they went to plan B. That was to file short of cards and kill the AMFA drive but to be successful the company had to submit their numbers on the same day to catch AMFA off gaurd.

shame on AMFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wtf they knew the teamsters where going to play this game. Guys have said for months the twu and ibt are working together.

How does aa show up with the required documents.

What amfa need to do is contact everyone and inform us on who we need to contact to change this unjustice system.

what if ibt doesn't have the cards ?

SHAME ON AMFA they let this happen, if they would have just filed on 20th like the plan called for.

%*&%&*(*&^$@$#%$^&%*^( them all
There was some thought of the 31st of May not the 20th, which would not have stopped the collusion anyway. Even so the possible 31st date wasn't ever set. The decision was made more solidly toward 14th of June. It is totally unreasonable to believe the cards could have been packed and stacked at the NMB office in the time frame given. It is that "unreasonableness" that points to collusion by company/ibt/ possible twu, voter suppression. imo All I can say is if the ibt doesn't get an election (filed short or forged cards with plenty of time to fix it) and had a few weeks to get more cards, we will know for sure. In the mean time my thoughts are towards a "write in", and of coarse letting them know we aren't happy about it (to say the least). again jmho

In AMFA's letter it states, and I quote; "The NMB then denied the right of AA mechanics to submit their authorization cards in favor of AMFA's intervenor status." Therefore if AMFA was denied submission of cards then they should not be considered as filed. Now let's say teamsters do not have enough cards, which we will know within a month. Then could AMFA file at that time since the cards were not submitted this time? Think about it guys.

Worse case scenario; Let's say no vote comes from the teamsters filing, TWU stays in place during merger, then could AMFA file under the other terms of a merger?

Now let's say for some mirical that the teamsters do get a vote, after this freakin fiasco, everyone could write AMFA in.
Just thinking out loud here guys. But per the NMB's ruling "AMFA's cards were never submitted". This tells me AMFA has a second chance to file if teamsters fail to get an election, or, at merger time, or if there really is an election, "write in AMFA". Give it some thought guys and let's throw some ideas around. Maybe a last resort is a class action law suit for rights violation of the AA mechanics. I am only going by the AMFA letter and I have no idea how the actual ruling is written by the NMB. Any input???

AMFA supporters please go read "Think about this AMFA" thread and give input. Don't give up yet guys...
