America's Shame....Outstanding!

Yes, he did. The American people did not see this side that "we" all knew about him, when he was barnstorming the nation as our Saviour, and, yes the right talking heads were trying to say.
The man is not only an embarrasment, he is a clown......and dangerous.
Wow you just described the last president in perfect detail.

Nice try, Micky. Go get refueled with some self esteem, and some knowledge. You haven't a clue, and are wasting space.

"arrogant and divisive"

nice.

what a way to describe his supporters (because he made a blanket generalization with that comment, that included everyone)..

If we are so arrogant and divisive why would someone say what is below................

“For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country,â€￾ she told a Milwaukee crowd today, “because it feels like hope is making a comeback.â€￾

Who does this guy think he is?

Obama Calls U.S. "Arrogant" & "Divisive" in Speech in France

Best response ever!

What an embarrassment    !
"Such an effort is never easy. It's always harder to forge true partnerships and sturdy alliances than to act alone, or to wait for the action of somebody else. It's more difficult to break down walls of division than to simply allow our differences to build and our resentments to fester. So we must be honest with ourselves. In recent years we've allowed our Alliance to drift. I know that there have been honest disagreements over policy, but we also know that there's something more that has crept into our relationship. In America, there's a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.

But in Europe, there is an anti-Americanism that is at once casual but can also be insidious. Instead of recognizing the good that America so often does in the world, there have been times where Europeans choose to blame America for much of what's bad.

Different than the way the fabricated news played it off

for the most part..they dont really care what she says, (overseas especially).. what they do care about is.. what she is wearing (clothing) for the day..

not at all.. it was an unnecessary comment and its only 'ok' to some because they support his ideas..(no matter what he says)

taking into consideration our country is made up of many immigrants, the comment was totally out of line.

That's NOT a very nice thing to say. We can all agree to disagree without being disagreeable.

I just hope that we (meaning Obama) don't shoot ourselves in the foot overseas. One of the things that is kind of interesting is that Obama is trying to take us towards the Liberal/Socialist model of Europe at a time when even the Europeans are realizing they can't afford their programs.

Not sure what that should tell us as citizens, but it does indeed tell us something.
Excuse me Piney. Before you pass the plate, look at some of your previous replies to Daopes(i think I spelled it correctly)...Agree to disagree???? I beg to differ with some of the responses I have seen that you penned.

Uhhh....um......Most of what you say is very intelligent, and you seem extremely informed, but, please do not hit a poster who is much like yourself, in that, I believe in much of what you say, although may not have the penmanship that you may have, in expressing views. I have my opine, and say what I think. Agree to disagree, remember?

Hardly out of line. Its a recognition of the cowboy diplomacy of the last 8 years. The fact that we can, and do make mistakes. If we cannot critique and be honest about ourselves, then how to we expect to be taken seriously by the other countries of the world?

Of course mistakes are made Micky. But, there was not another terrorist attack after 9/11, which i will remind you, the signs, and opportunity to supress the threat, were there before Mr. W.

Ok, Mr. global boy, worry about what Europe thinks what we "say", or "do". That my friend, is one of the pre eminent problems with the USA today. People like you think it is necessary to have the "world" on our side. We have to all live together as one, right?? Why not conform to their way of doing things. If it were not for this great country that you call home, the rest of the world would be a better place, right?? Damn America has screwed the entire planet.

You, sir, are a disgrace, and should be ashamed. Later, Mick, done with your blather.

what is unfolding today goes back a little more than just the last 8 years..

but a leader does not or should not lump all citizens and generalize.. 'we are all arrogant to those outside our borders', that is just plain ignorant.
