Local 514 issued this statement today 9/26/12
WARN letters,
Oklahoma state law does not require AA to send individual WARN letters. The one sent to the Air Transport Division was all that was required. Here is the Sept. 19th letter:

I don't think it will go that deep after everything is considered. I'm thinking less than 300 Title 1 members and their families effected. If you are staffed in Tulsa I hope you make the cut...

Looks like I pretty well hit the mark on the AMT's affected by layoff in Tulsa. It is also announced that only about 140 Tulsa workers may have to relocate or go to the street. Not that I'm happy about any of these folks being impacted by this, but the Yes vote on the contract has proven to be the best path to date. Hopefully if any do have to leave us things will improve soon and we can get them recalled ASAP...

What is total headcount loss?

Twist and spin all you want, pat yourself on the back like the stooge you are, but we just lost everything, and thousands of jobs.

PERIOD

All that fear, all that gloom and doom, has now turned into a bed of roses.
Amazing

What was the cost per head you saved there stooge?

Does that # include the afw boys that will be bumping in there?

This is still breaking news at this point and I believe it will depend if Tulsa is considered a junior station for AMT's. I haven't heard if that will be the case or not when the bumping begins. I'm sure more info on all of this will follow today's announcements...

I can't leave this alone Informer. I see you pulled your paper sack off and exposed your AMFA head. You and your agenda doesn't pride itself upon protecting quality Union jobs. For you, its total elimination of as many folks as possible hoping to capitalize off their backs...

You can continue to bury your head in the sand like others.
That is your choice.

But know this....

..Unless we become a lean, accountable, and productive workforce, overhaul maintenance will take the same path as the steel mills of the past.

We must not be trapped into a belief that taking concessions to save jobs, allowing inept management, and an overall continuation of the same old tired political institution rhetoric to be the path we choose to follow. You should consider study of labor history, instead of accepting the politcal institution rhetoric.

You heard it here first. Unless WE change, overhaul is doomed.

Now go on back to your simpleton plan that leaves us without the required skill, management, and accountability to survive.

If we fail to break up the two pathetic political institutions (management and twu) on the base, you and I might get to retire, but we will destroy the future for the younger generation.

WILL YOU HAVE YOURS BROTHER?
Or are you ready to face and admit the truth?

I am not the self seeking idiot you claim I am. In fact just the opposite, but you are living the politics of the Tulsa base and not the truth.

You and I always have been and always will be on the same team, we just view the truth as two different factual realizations of the truth. I predict that we either change, or get decimated. You want to brag about bullshit victories that are meaningless in the grand scheme.

You are both blind and ignorant.

it is easy to predict when you see the cards before the game.

I'm gonna make another prediction since my last has come true. I predict in just over 35 months we will enjoy an Industry average wage adjustment....

Then for a Power Ball prediction if the pilots reach a new agreement within the parameters of the "me too clause", we stand to gain another boost before the Industry average at 36 months after DOS. I know I may be stretching my luck on this one but it may happen Chuck...
