How long are we willing to sit across the table saying "NO"? When do we call them on what they are offering? Push to have it all put on the table and let the members decide? Given what we know today I am a solid NO vote. Would an overwhelming rejection of the company garbage proposal move things along? My feeling is the association leadership does not trust the membership. Admittedly it would be a gamble but what is the alternative? To sit indefinitely shaking our heads NO?

I am leaning towards agreement with you. The stuff we are hearing is so bad it would have no chance of passing. I'd like to see the company proposal in writing. Don't even have to vote on it. The things being said about the company positions are a slap in the face to employees.

let us hope the offer comes out and we vote. It isnt what you think, its actually alot better. Weez and union fearmongering need a day of reckoning.

It may come to that? There’s still one more session scheduled. Now IF the Association does what you say though and recommends a rejection, if it passes in ANY group I don’t want to hear from any of the loudmouths later on doing a flip flop on what they asked for.

And I agree with you that the guys in the Association wouldn’t trust the Membership. I’m not sure I trust them either? I know how many people only see dollar signs. They just jumped on the almighty dollar over there at SWA didn’t they.

No chance huh? You’re sure about that?

Given what transpired this last week, I`d be shocked if the April meeting is any different. Obviously the company refuses to negotiate at all. Let alone in good faith. The membership thus far has shown NO willingness to fight. I would think, at some point, a change in strategy is in order. The status quo and shaking our head NO is not getting it done. Putting what the company is offering on paper and calling for a vote is a gamble. If the association were to recommend a NO and the membership solidly rejects it. I would think that would give us a way forward. All the rumors and hearsay would then be put to rest and we would know exactly what were dealing with. It is a big gamble, I give you that. Again, what is the alternative? The company will not negotiate. The membership will not fight.

Last week a crew chief told me the company wants bag rooms, lavs, deicing, and just about everything other than loading and unloading aircraft. If this is the case everyone voting yes would be voting themselves out the door. The union has communicated awful things along with the bad rumors you hear from people. You get the feeling the company hates their employees. I'd like to see stuff in writing from the company. The negative feelings you run into on the ramp have really escalated.

Well the Company has the ultimate tool dispell any rumors that are floating around out there if they want if they’re not true? They know very well what those rumors are cause they monitor every Social Media site out there.

If the Unions are BS us and getting us to hate the Company then let’s hear from them I say. Where are they? I haven’t heard anything out of them but crickets and Paper Talk in Circus Road Shows.

There’s a good reason we’re not hearing from the Company IMO.

Did you read this comment by Mark Baskett?

“Hi everyone. There was no progress at all in negotiations this past week. In fact there was a statement made by the company that they weren’t moving at all until we decided what we were going to concede”

I haven’t asked him but does this comment mean the Company is saying that they aren’t planning to move unless we pick something to move on?

If the Association did move on something does that necessarily mean the Company would then move towards us on something? Or would they take us for a bunch of suckers?

And if both sides are now dug in that neither are going to move are we then at an official impasse?

Ok tell them we will concede one bulletin board in each work area...

DFW dude, the union is actually fighting against us. The company is fighting for our retirement in this context. Hopefully, the company maintains its determination to provide its employees a 40% increase in retirement contributions and the complete elimination of the critical IAM Pension. The company may have to establish pickets against the union. It may even have greater turnouts.

The union refused to agree to many many increases due to its own agenda of the IAM pension and future dues. Shameful.
I have never met anyone so out of touch with reality, there is not one thing you predictated that has occured. I cant imagine anyone with any type of insight briefing you on any thing, no less of importance. Do people laugh with you at work, or at you? Come on dude we have a clown in tulsa Dan Mccoy you two would get along great. Jeez just go away you just pollute the board with nonsence.
Im gonna do this, im gonna do that. I own them your a freaking idiot.

I believe we have moved on things. The company has doubled down on an adversarial rather than a cooperative approach. These negotiations have only served to further deepen the resentment. This company will never enjoy peaceful labor relations. ever. I believe we are at an impasse.

Ironic when you look at it that at one point it was absolutely UAL that was the king of toxicity in the industry. Smisek gets chucked out bringing in Munoz with the complete opposite approach to Management/ Labor relations and now UAL has lept ahead of AA.

AA has hit the bottom with the most toxic labor relations in the industry because Management thinks we’re too stupid to notice all the smoke they keep trying to blow up our asses.

They can enjoy peaceful labor relations if they want to, they chose not to by their own hands.
