I have never met anyone so out of touch with reality, there is not one thing you predictated that has occured. I cant imagine anyone with any type of insight briefing you on any thing, no less of importance. Do people laugh with you at work, or at you? Come on dude we have a clown in tulsa Dan Mccoy you two would get along great. Jeez just go away you just pollute the board with nonsence.
Im gonna do this, im gonna do that. I own them your a freaking idiot.
Usually the weezal or even Tim would normally provide the asso. updates. This time around nobody did and after reading I can see why.
It would appear you guys are right where we were at year 4. Stalemate, with no movement whatsoever. And with no future dates set, it may be that the mediators will let these last set of nego. start and if there is still a stalemate the med. may very well put everyone ice and even say until someone is willing to nego and move we will sit on ice. Only this time around I am afraid it will be for months just like ours was.
Tim keeps posting that it's not all that bad, it time to vote on it. Well, Tim, until these items left "open" are nego there will be no vote, So I do not know where you get that they are even close to a vote.
With this latest update not sure if you guys will have anything this year. The April nego's will tell the tale of where these go. Hopefully you guys will get more dates set. Good luck guys.

Association Negotiations Update

gen be specific with me. Exactly and precisely where do you see currently that it’s the IAM who is in charge of the Negotiations and making the decisions for both groups?

Personally from reading the updates I see the “issues” as being issues that concern all of us or at least should.

But let’s take this approach then since you feel they’re wagging our Dog.

If tomorrow we could nueter the IAM and put them in a Penalty Box and put tape over their mouths for the remainder of the game what do you think would happen?
First official updates are written by the iam for the association.
Dont kid yourself with equal veto power to bring something for a vote, the tail is in control and wagging the dog.
If we had one union, either the twu or tge iam it would have been a whole lot easier.
Reading some of the tweets by gary peterson if they are true, knocking isom and company we are in for a long ride. Totally unprofessional and counter productive.

Actually the TWU has written a few of them but both sides have input.

So you prefer the old TWU roll call way of doing things? I can quote you a lot of circumstances where the big guys stepped on the little guys in our History and that’s why we only have 17 Stations left BTW.

Didn’t MIA side with TUL not to give those high COL Cities a little extra stipend?

If we had one union, either the twu or tge iam it would have been a whole lot easier.

I guess? In that case we also could have just accepted one contract or the other plus some money and been done with it like Jerry Glass first offered.

BTW IAM is just fighting for their issues as much as the TWU is fighting for ours and hopefully we’ll be blending them all successfully.

And before you say it, it does look like the IAM is finally joining the fight.

I’d prefer it to be more professional myself too but what other choice do you see when it’s obvious that this Management Team has pretty much no respect whatsoever for any of their Unionized Workgroups?

Counter productive is the Company’s unwillingness to Negotiate any longer and continue to hold roadshows attempting to blow smoke up our asses.

BTW let me try this one again. And no I’m not looking to badger you but I’m looking to understand what you think would happen from here on out if we could just brush the wants and needs of the IAM aside and take over?

So AA has updated negotiations on Jetnet...Did I read the Association didn't show up to discuss isuues with the NMB and AA leadership?

For over a year, we have made ourselves available for any negotiations meeting, including the current schedule with the National Mediation Board (NMB). What occurred this past week included a request by the Association’s Executive Committee to meet with American’s senior leadership team. On Tuesday, the mediators informed both parties that the meeting would be held the next day. The Association chose not to attend that Wednesday meeting, so the company and the NMB met anyway. The company’s full negotiating team was available and participated in the regularly-scheduled bargaining sessions that kicked off on Tuesday with the Association.

So once and for all I wonder if TWU Members will stop worrying about the IAMPF boogeyman they think is hiding under their beds. This is directly from the Company on Jetnet.

“Association’s Proposal
Applies only to IAM-represented members; TWU would not be included in the defined benefit plan the Association has proposed
IAM has already agreed to allow IAM members to leave the defined benefit plan if the company will pay a withdrawal liabilty fee.”

Said it from day one, not a chance, a non issue!

The association needs to address this and soon. They want even sign the updates there is no accountability in this association

And here he comes again trying to sell a fake narrative that we’re infighting again.

This guy has ZERO personal working contacts with any IAM Members much less speaks to any of the Negotiators probably on either side and yet in his mind everybody is fighting each other.

WTF?
If the TWU members out number the IAM, and most or all of them voted to leave they could.

Well now maybe some of those skittish posters will calm the hell down. And even the Kook now knows that the Association has agreed to let people out of the IAMPF if they want.

Last I had heard they did ask for a higher contribution/ match percentage though but it also has been whittled down some from asking to match what the Pilots are getting originally.

LIES,LIES, LIES. All LIES and half truths. I`ve had it with both the company and the association. Both need to be taken to the wood shed!

driver should I also put you on my ignore list? I’ve been doing a spectacular job adhering to it the past 5 days now.

We frankly have more important things to discuss instead of the leaving nonsense.

I just said they could, not that they would. It takes more then two just blowing steam like I did for two years on here, because I was pissed off. The likely outcome is the status quo, and finally after another 2 to 3 years , the Association gets a T/A people *****, and it passes, because people are fed up. Or it fails, and you go another year, and you reach an agreement like us, then that one passes. But, people still ***** and complain.

Ok this was a comment I admit that I found interesting. Does this mean that the Association agrees with the position I’ve long held not to ask for any PS to be places directly in the Contract but instead to try to at least get back to the original offer that Parker made on wages which was 7% above the top in the industry?
