Hate to break it to you, but, the article is about SW Mechanics, not AA. If your trying to make some correlation, I fail to see it. Besides all you do is rag on your own 95% of the time. Very divisive.

I like to keep you guys humble so we don’t have that arrogance we had in 2010, (we have all lost $70k in cash alone) Thinking that just because we are aircraft mechanics the company will bend to our will. I rag on the association for how this was formed. I rag on TWU for lack of representation the line mechs get, and how every lay-off has been done differently. Guys with over 25 years are finally getting back to Texas while guys with 10 years were never displaced.

It was simple question of, does anybody know if we (the association) are close to an impasse. We not meaning SWA. Surprised you found that confusing.

Does anybody know the rank structure for the association?

For 1986mekanic

I mean the IAM - TWU association that represents the ground employees of AA.

A little piece of an update from TWU Local 512 ORD. Congratulations on your first full year of service to your Membership.

Dude would you just shut up with the junk mail already? You’ve been spewing it out daily for Months now and it’s completely psychotic already.

All I asked was what were you banned from and you can’t even answer that simple little chit. Jeesh.

I was actually going to “””TRY””” to communicate with you. Maybe I’m the F’n idiot for trying.

You’re not this high maintenance in real life, are you?

Started years ago.I dont get it they want to contract out jobs yet they are hiring at a ridiculous pace.I dont get it and where i am its $2219 to start

Anticipation of how many people are going to take the buyout and cutting back on overtime expenses.

Not to mention overall Medical costs with a younger workforce.

Do you two also tongue each other from a distance?

BTW I think if “Rich” is back on the Boards he should out you completely since you keep wanting to out him.

JMO.

Does this mean after contract is settled and the merger is completed we will vote on union representation?

I fear I may have judged association too hard. This is from q&a on association website.

Will I have the opportunity to vote on whether or not I am represented by the association?

A: Yes. Following the completion of the American – US Airways’ merger, the Associations will file representation applications with the National Mediation Board (NMB), a federal agency, which will culminate in three separate elections, one for each of the Mechanic & Related, Fleet Service and Stores classifications. You will vote in the election of the classification in which you work with others from both carriers.

They lied to you. If it’s taken you this long to figure it out well you must be some kind of xxxxxx then.

NEXT?

It’s a fair question since the merger isn’t completed yet.

The NMB certified the TWU/IAM Association with an explanation why there didn’t need to be a vote conducted.

As long as the IAM and the TWU continue to represent the Class and Crafts they do at AA which so far has been ongoing for over 70 years and counting, there will never be a vote.
