American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

Common sense and experience.

With whom you are negotiating against their track record shows that’s the only way you will obtain a fair contract, just like how you achieved the interim wage agreement.

Who are you speaking for?

I speak for myself as a experienced 30+ year TWU AMT. What is your experience? You come off as quite the IGM type at the IAM.

And we all know what was given up for that wage adjustment.

I don’t come off as an IGM, that would be big jets, vortilion and Nelson.

My experience is more than several contracts with the company’s side.

One difference between the IAMPF and our Frozen DBP is that the Airline has no obligation to make up for any shortfalls in the Multiemployer Fund. Unlike our DBP plans which AA was basically pressured by the Government to continue to be responsible for during the Bankruptcy.

The IAMPF remember is not just a fund for LUS employees but has many other participants including represented Boeing Workers.
please stop. you are clueless about the pension. i knpw of
You clearly don’t understand my post.

Yes people work safe.

Everyone including the ramp needs to follow the policy and procedures exactly how they are written.
sorry, you dont pay dues so you dont count 700. Maybe some here would respect you a bit if you were a union shop.

By his posting I can only assume they don't work safe on his side??
And he obviously did not get my post. First of all, everyone should always be working safe, we all want to go home to our loved ones. Secondly, If he is calling for some kind of action at his carrier, that's illegal, and could get him in trouble.

Amen.
Maybe he's the one to blame for the concessions of the past since he brags about his experience with the several past contracts on the companies side, read below;

Maybe even as far back as 1983 huh?

1983 you had Regan and he was not Friendly to Labor he fired the Air Traffic controllers, and broke up AT&T. Basically gave Lorenzo, and Carl Icahn free reign.

What, shady dealings by the IAM. That's hard to believe!!

Yes really, see when you have 30,000 between maintenance and ramp it can actually make a difference, unlike the lone wolf of AMFA, scared to strike and ask for a release as you know it will be NW Part II.

The IAM did all they could to support, facilitate and encourage what NW did to AMFA. You are seriously delusional if you believe otherwise. Performing struck work makes you a scab. Full stop.

And the TWU Int'l President puts out a letter in support of AMFA at Southwest in their fight.
(I do like the guy weezy, but the organization is still questionable!)

And as usual THE IAM IS SILENT!

They really should change their moniker to IGM.
