American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

You should talk about being wrong lmao you just throw **** on the wall to see if something sticks always of course to suit your personal agenda. Now you and your imaginary friend fly get together and talk about how your union is going to start a card drive.lol yeah good luck with that. I’ll be left seat in a 787 before that ever happens
well, if I was a me guy, I'd stayed in the union and been in the international by now. Roach talked to me at the District convention in Cleveland after we nabbed AirTran and looked good against the Teamsters at United. The problem was that I stand on principles and I don't really need a 'union job'. I'd be above Tommy Reagan if I kissed ass. Tommy was always next in line. As it turned out, they hosed the AirTran people I organized and I could never believe in organizing for the IAM again. Gotta believe in your work Cltrat. So, for me, I figured just run for President of DL and run for President of the INTL after nobody else dare do it. A big target comes on your back, but it wasn't too heavy. Sure, nitwits like you buy their BS hook, line and sinker, but I'm still ok with that. I have a blessed and happy life and the time sacrificed to put this labor organization on edge, and sharper, is and will be well worth it.

As far as another union. now isn't the time on this property. Don't get me wrong, few like your union, but the apathy right now isn't worth the time. The other union has arrived already though and cards are being signed. But organizing a new union is always a long shot. 12 months to get'r done but burning daylight comes by quick.

I guess of course you could have told him the deal then .problem with that is you have zero cred and maybe two people here would have believed you
I think the entire union doesn't have credibility. I'm not seeking any credibility. I have always presented a choice. The rest was up to the employees. A mission and sacrifice is what I do. Sacrificed a lot but it's worth it because employees like you deserve a lot better than what you have. Even if you are deluded. You still deserve fairness.

Come on Weez. Why do you insist on putting words in my mouth? AA management is absolutely neither fair nor a "loving friend", whatever that is. No union or association is doing very well imho. Unions today, all of them, are resting on the hard work done in the past. They have gotten fat, dumb and lazy. Unions today are more concerned with dues and pushing their selfish, self serving political agenda vs working in the best interest of the workers they are paid to represent.

So,once again, let me be clear. I look at upper management and union bosses in the same light. They both are failing the employees of this airline, M&R in particular.

So it really does come back to which one sucks the least!

Well you guys have every right to look at it the way you do I guess. But as for me I grossed just under 70k for the year with my High School Diploma in tow (Don’t knock my education now y’all hear) working no extra hours and as much as sure I’d like more, that ain’t half bad IMO.

And hog you’re right. Some of those Unions are and some of them aren’t. The ones who don’t adapt will eventually be found in the Tar Pits of History.

Your choice being you can sell them this BS, or that BS depending on the flavor of BS people enjoy.

You serve 31 flavors of ice cold BS.

Oh I think the Association and IAM are selling them all the BS they need. In the meantime, a group of special key people just started a card drive. Let's see where things are in about 12 months. The particular group says they are ready but, as you know at JetBlue, cards don't come quick. If they truly want an aggressive union that they can control and provide them with professionals then it's a no brainer to switch. I and others built a new union but it's up to people to take advantage of the opportunity.

and FWIW: any mechanic or fleet from any airline, hit me up if you want to switch to a painfully democratic union that requires Legal professionals, by constitution, in arbitration. And professional negotiators instead of non professionals who kiss ass.
I mean, I'm not open to raiding the Association at American for MX since AMP fluttered, and not interested in raiding AMFA either as they seem to be very democratic already. But anyone else who is a company union like IAM, TWU, etc., just hit me up. Those unions are a complete disaster but maybe not TWU entirely, depends upon which party. TWU American BLows the big one.

One things for sure Tim, if I could buy you for what you’re worth and sell you for what you think you’re worth I could go ahead and sail off into retirement

You could also buy a Penthouse Condo overlooking the Ocean to go along with that retirement.

several built it. Im just one. I support the effort. It is an alternative to rotten unions and rottenconstitutions. Is it going to be successful? Chances are against that. If it picks up steam over the next 12 months then it could have a chance. I did my part.
Unions that little timmie has started or been involved with trying to start.

IBT, result FAILURE
USWA, result FAILURE
FSWU, result FAILURE
AGW, result FAILURE
IBEW, result FAILURE.

See tiny timmie has failed everytime when tried to get unionized at US and/or trying to raid the IAM and he has tried to raid the TWU also at AA years ago.
