Merely facing the reality that my lack of formal education in any particular field makes me more replaceable than those who put in the time, money and effort.

I guess we will disagree as to if the association is a failure or not. I base my judgement on past performance. To date they have failed the AMT group as far as I`m concerned. What the future holds is anybody guess. I`m hoping we can one day have a voice in who we want representing us.

I agree on the wages. However I question is it was due to the association or in spite of it. The company needed/wanted cross-utilization. AFAIK we have no idea how that transpired. Did the association negotiate that raise or was it offered up by the company? IDK, I do not remember seeing any updates or negotiations on the wage bump.

This is a subject that no one wants to talk about.
The reason you don't remember an announcement is because this was a deal made between the asso. and the company without any say so from the membership once again. The membership had no vote on rather to allow the cross utilization for a raise in wages. It was a deal brought forward by the company to the asso. as it was the company that needed the cross utilization soo badly and quickly. Therefore the asso. made the deal with the company in quiet nego's. The asso. then put out an announcement announcing that "they" the asso., has made a huge agreement with the company to gain some early raises for the members outside of having a contract. They bragged so much on the raises that most saw right thru their tactics and just accepted it.
Now, if you remember, yes that was a pretty good increases made but only because that is how bad the company wanted the cross utilization on each others metal. It was in fact at that current time the ONLY leverage the asso. had and it went right out the window.
This agreement did several things; 1- Gave the company exactly what they needed to move forward without costly delays and maint travel and overtime cost. 2- Gave the asso. a very large increase in dues monies across the board of both unions (substantial increase in dues coming in). 3- Lost 2 leverage points from the unions- A- lost the fact that the membership receives an early raise, this keeps the membership calm and collective. B- Lost the cross utilization leverage that the company needed so desperately.
A terrible move by the asso. in a lot of people's minds, but as usual this asso will always be willing to back the company for whatever they ever need until the membership gets sick and tired of it...

“7 year contract with new agents get a pay raise. Senior agent dont really get anything other than 401k matching increase. No extra pay for gsc lcro etc....oh and top out on pay changed to 14 years of service instead of 11”

ENVOY AIR & CWA REACH TENTATIVE AGREEMENT ON INITIAL CONTRACT FOR PASSENGER SERVICE AGENTS

“I am praying that people understand this is our first contract and with minimum wage going up it will change and we now have a level playing field. We did not get American Airlines wages but we do not work for American. So people need to understand that up front. But we were being paid before 191 different ways a pay scale will definitely help our pay roll department.”

“I believe if you want to make AA money then you need to apply to AA but our goal was good language and protection and a fair scale to keep our stations growing not closing”

Now I’m not sure why a CWA Negotiator is worried about AA Envoy’s payroll department personally and it seems she really wants to tamp expectations by saying “We’re not American Airlines and if you want AA Wages you need to apply for AA”

John John I know you love your CWA but doesn’t this seem a little odd to you?

wow. Cash cow i guess. Anytime a union organizes and says its gonna get a fair contract, a sellout isnt far behind when it says "this is a first contract". But dues will certainly flow in that first contract. Those peeps hosed themself as these afl unions blow.

Your posts, your words.

Only fake news is your replies.

See little timmie when you post on the internet it never goes away.

It’s all proven and fact what you have done.
It sure doesn't, you should know...you funny man!

Just a little glass of humility for our AA AMT’s who got it good playing in the Big Leagues.

This is what they’re getting paid back down in the Minors.

pretty sad when a union has to hope the minimum wage will be higher.

and if she is gonna blow smoke on a first contract then at least make it 2 or 3 years. 7 years? Hell, the second contract wont be signed until 2035.

as always, you are wrong. If you actually ever did read your contract, its right there in black and white. The stews never had the language.

Our union did what it always does, withdraw.
Our contract also said we were getting a raise turned out to be a misprint or something who knows.See they were a cluster before the Association.

“Ok, I listened to the conference call and I can’t believe this was the agreement that was done with envoy. I’m not sure if the CWA was just letting Envoy do all the bargaining. The CWA bargaining team have made the 401k and the cap that was put on the medical as their focus points. Of course envoy would agree to do that because there’s only about 30% of agents that have medical, so in essence Envoy isn’t losing money anyways. Secondly if I heard correct they would match 100% up to 6% once your around 16 years of service. Again, of course Envoy would agree to that because around 20% of the workforce only has 10 years plus of service. All I heard on the call was what Envoy didn’t want and all you essentially did was get some retention bonuses that put money in agents pockets temporarily. No language on vacation, sick time, no personal days which was allowed for Piedmont. How do you walk in and sit at a bargaining table that has a workforce of around 16,000 people and come out with a retention bonus, no retro pay, no pay for numerous titles that they want you to hold “GSC, BSO” etc...my station has already decided to vote no and I will be looking for talks in finding another union. You honestly can’t find anything good about this contract for the majority of stations that are not hubs or have living wage requirements. Disgusted is major understatement. When your bargaining team was not able to meet in December because you had two members that were going on vacation, showed me at that point that this unit was not going to be effective. First contract or not people wanted pay and you worked around other issues except the main issue. Disgusted is an understatement“

Unions that little timmie has started or been involved with trying to start.

IBT, result FAILURE
USWA, result FAILURE
FSWU, result FAILURE
AGW, result FAILURE
IBEW, result FAILURE.

See tiny timmie has failed everytime when tried to get unionized at US and/or trying to raid the IAM and he has tried to raid the TWU also at AA years ago.

Unions that have stolen members pension, result IAM's multiemployer...
