And I have asked you if you have further information that we haven’t seen as you allude you have to please show that information?

Would you have preferred the old TWU that many posters here claimed rolled over too many times to count.

So AMFA that doesn’t have to rebuild multiple contracts from scratch and has taken almost 7 years so far is great and tough ($4.00 per hour less than you currently)

And the Association is weak cause they got you (signed on) a 2016 wage adjustment that averaged 24% and is Negotiating multiple Contracts and trying to keep work that the rest of the Industry dumped or didn’t have long ago?

Do you want them to dump Facilities Maintenance and some Overhaul?

That Union over there wasn’t the one who Negotiated those benefits. All they have ever done there is vote for an extension for some extra pay.

SWA has never had financial difficulty and has certainly never declared Bankruptcy.

And they only employee around 2300 AMT’s. For you to get a job over there would be like winning the lottery.

I doubt you’d hit the numbers.

It was originally an IAM then Teamsters. AMFA only took ownership after 2003. Our SWA culture from Herb Kelleher was because at the time we were not paid as much, so you treat people better to make up for it. The company grew up around us, and changed with the times. We are not treated bad, we have to adjust with the times, AMFA and some members, can't grasp that, so we argue and spin our wheels.

ALL current Scope? Ok Tim show me that update (maybe you’re confused) where the Company stated (Or the Association said) that the Company backed off Catering, Deicing, Lavs, Facilities, and AMT work?

Now what I read was that “IF” (And they would) they vendor out any of our current work people could blend in to the work that is still being performed in Station.

I already had a job offer back in 2012. Almost retired. Not as hard as you make it out to be - with the right attitude,\and experience. So, wrong again.

Hey important AMT, that wasn't even directed at you. It was at GVPSPIAM. Obviously you didn't figure that out. Secondly, having about twice the comments you do probably qualifies you more a "newbie" than I. Thirdly, if you knew anything about me and have read any of my posts, (and we have chatted on here in the past) then you would know I'm on the same side as you, therefore NO, I'm not the reason you are stuck where you are. Now, I'm gonna write something under this comment, it is NOT directed at you.

What ever happened to the FCFS grievance you guys filed way back when? Still in your contract isn't it?

You're putting words in my mouth Weez. Of course I do not want to see any workgroup dumped. No union or association is faring very well these days. I was merely pointing out to our new/old friend that the association has thus far been a failure imho. The hardcore twu apologists absolute hatred for anything AMT or who we would prefer to represent us is mind boggling.

What ever happened to the FCFS grievance you guys filed way back when? Still in your contract isn't it?

It was withdrawn after the AFA lost their grievance on the issue since the language was pretty much the same.

I don’t think the Association is a failure since it’s going to continue to be an ongoing entity from now into the future likely long after you and I are gone.

What the Association is is just that. Two representive bodies existing separately but trying to find common ground due to a merger of two airlines into one that personally I’ve seen an absolute substantial benefit from so far.

Despite our loses in the AMR Bankruptcy I highly doubt we would have seen a roughly 40% increase in our wages without that merger IMO.

AMR had it survived would have forced us to live our Contracts in full with no adjustments for the entire 5 year term plus.

Ok then obviously I’m prying here but something prompted you to stick with AA then even though the Airline was in Bankruptcy and none of us were yet sure exactly where that was headed?

You must have even went as far as getting past the interview process if you say you had a job offer, and yet my friend Vort here with us you continue on.

I honestly didn't know the answer. Still a bit surprising a man with "so much knowledge" couldn't answer it. but then I have an idea why. As for the AMT rat, yep, sometimes the anger and eagerness to pounce before fully understanding can make you look a little foolish. Lord knows I've been there a few times.. Hope you're well cltrat.
