its actually a good idea if things are plugged but i agreed to take the post down because a union dude called and said they were alot closer to a contract than they led on in updates and didnt want any stirring up.
Like you asked me to take your name out of something, i felt it was a reasonable request that was made.

But i believe 100% that going to his home in an action of solidarity was a very good idea and its worked before for me on a campaign.

Ok so I’m still confused then here? Will we have a TA in 2 weeks or 2 years?

2 weeks?
2 years?

Yea and I think I would leave the marching on a man’s home idea to John Samuelsen if it’s needed. He already did it to the boss of the MTA.

I cannot support such actions as to be little more than harassment at someone's private home with their family. Not as if we unable air our grievances and dissatisfaction by town hall gatherings, airport/corporate HQ picketing or online message board bantering.

I think it is a very inappropriate topic to broach.

So, they want everything except loading and unloading airplanes according to the former union negotiator for the IAM, and his info is deemed to be accurate. The President of Local 512 states they want everything. The last update tells us AA's latest proposal allows for the outsourcing of almost any Fleet Service work. Based on those three opinions or (facts, who or whatever you want to believe) we seem to be on the cusp of a AIP if not a T/A...

I cannot vote yes for anything with that much outsourcing and I think most of us will not. Outsourcing anything at all would be the main thing that would cause me to vote no. Not a good move on the company's part unless Crema is correct and they will come in at the last minute and agree to a Scope that includes most of what we do now. Not a good move at all. A lot of high seniority people want to do jobs other than loading and unloading and newer employees will have to worry about layoffs. I do not see any way something like that would pass.

"When and where so directed". A double edge sword. Can be beneficial in gaining work. Can also be used, particularly in our case, by the company as a vehicle to take work away. Should we be complacent in the proposed and potential job loss included in this latest proposal by the company? The details of their proposal are coming to light. And they are not good. Disappointing we are discussing conceding jobs to a company making record profits. The company's true posture, regarding reaching a JCBA, should be apparent to all. Negotiating as if we are still in bankruptcy. It is, however, the unfortunate truth of the matter.

The magic bullet is the buyout that will entice yes votes out of many that will take the money and run with no regard to what they leave behind. That's why the association needs to force the company to offer the buyout first. They should refuse to allow it in the contract or a condition if a yes vote carries.

Actually I believe based on those 3 facts or whatever....it puts us further away from a T/A

The fact that United's Fleet Service has "unlimited part time" could a problem?

"They want everything."

That's an opinion.
It’s not an opinion that if the language proposed by the company has “ more when and where so directed work “ then the company wants the ability to take whatever they want. That language gives them that right. If they don’t want that right then why propose the language?
