American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

Sorry but I was informed by 700UW that that’s not the truth. He informed me that even in your Bankruptcies you all voted at the same time. Take it up with him if you want but I find him highly credible and you’ve stated more than once here that credibility is not something that concerns you.

And I’ll believe we’re done when our Negotiators say we’re done. Absolutely not when you make that claim. You are NOT an Elected official.
Weez I doubt anyone in the association except you and the elected officials you speak of give a squat whether maintenance and fleet reach an ageement or vote together. But the condescending f@#ks know what's best for us dont they??

No clue about that.

That said I didn’t even consider that the decision against Tim who is proud supporter of Mr Trump came under those very same bureaucratic paper pushers who should have dealt him a better hand this time around.

Not sure how Tim’s defeat relates to or will affect those Stations either but thank you for asking.
the dol found many violations, however, chose not to overturn. Regional dol offices arent presidential appointments but are lifelong regional office people. Most are 20-30 years old. Didnt have anything to do with President Trump or congress.

Currently, the TWU PT numbers equate to either 24% or 31% (depends how you do the math), so going to 40% is a concession.

OT language has some positives but overall, it's a concession for the TWU (especially in MIA).

Swaps are concessionary from the current process used by the TWU, but that's inevitable.

The TWU went from an 9 step scale to an 11 step scale with the Aug 2016 wage adjustment. Concessionary.
Your current numbers are moot point. Just because you are at 31% now your language doesn’t say that is a capped number. The Twu pt language doesn’t necessarily have a cap. So a cap of 40% is an improvement. ( I’m just using 40% as an example). I believe Twu language states, the pt numbers stay the same in 13 named cities as of 2001, with a ratio increase of 1:1 Ft and Pt. Which means the percentage can increase with every new FT hire. OT language is NO doubt better...just the 2x pay alone makes it better. Swaps on TWU side are a policy. I know you will disagree but when you can get language that protects something as opposed to a policy that can be changed on a whim..it’s a win, not a concession. ( if we get language that protects our regional work for us instead of language that says when and where so directed, isnt that better)?

I forgot to add............... Again....the wage scale has not been agreed to yet

Weez if a bunch of LLCers come to MIA you may not get your vacation weeks of choice.

Tim I read the ruling by the DOL certifying the original election and they made no mention of any violations? Did you receive something separately from them verifying your claim?

If you have that letter you should appeal your loss to President Trump or Mitch McConnell.

Once LUS drops out of the IAMNPF I wonder if I will hear the screaming from D.C. in BOS from the plan administrators.

The LUS membership is what 30% of the plans participants?

Josh I agree wholeheartedly that Tim should shut it all down now and try to figure out how to make amends with all those he wronged like Sito and LeHive and try and get back to CLT and rent a bigger apartment. Of course he’ll be happier, absolutely.

The DOL has one of his idol's boys running it --President Donald J. Trump nominated R. Alexander Acosta to be the 27th United States Secretary of Labor. He was sworn in on April 28, 2017.

He will have to apologize to CLTRAT before that... or he could go to catering... to avoid him...

Ah. Moot, eh?

You do understand if they need to have a FTer for every PTer, the ratio forces more FT once we reach the floors, that makes it less cost effective to just add PTers.

OT language is better in some places but worse in others and especially when PTers can be considered next to FTers without regard to their status. That's another mechanism used to control PTer expansion by the Company. Concession.

The Swaps is more restrictive than what we have but this is where the proper application of moot comes to play. Without the contractual language they could just change the policy to mirror the TA'd language. Even with that, because it's more restrictive it's a concession.

Why yes, it has. It was agreed to in August of 2016.

Read effective date and duration.

That comment implies that upon ratification of a JCBA which is ultimately what is being talked about here those wage scales could change. And earlier in the document it does state the word “interim” and

“To be effective while JCBA Negotiations are underway”

Don’t let your fervor to win an argument stunt your credibility.
