WeAAz...I do NOT want this association! I did NOT vote for this association! And I will continue to NOT want this association.
And most importantly, I do not want any T-shirt or hat or whatever from the association....period!
And I will not be a SHEEP wearing it just because I am expected to....
He probably didn't like when I said I was going to use it for a diaper, but he's given up on me he thinks there is hope for you

I believe once Section 6 arrives, you will indeed see a mediator. The arbitrator is who will never get the green light from the Association.

I seem to remember that a mediator has been informally observing these talks for awhile. Seems it was about the time the "Executive" committee got involved to expedite things in January 2017.

350??? Where did you get that number. There are approx 550-600 in Phl and Clt. Then another 150-200 in DCA, BWI AND PIT. Total of 700-800 at least
From another poster who has since retracted that number. Read through some of the today’s post, you’ll find it.

mediators never are in negotiations or involved in most section 6 unless things stall over a long time and one side request. Arbitration never ever happened in the airlines ever. Not sure where you get your information.
Ok Tim, ok...A. Mediation has happened numerous times in this industry and others and I wouldn’t be surprised if AA requested it earlier rather than later. Secondly
I’m well aware of the arbitrator and I don’t know where you get I said one will get involved. As a matter of fact I said just the opposite.

They mention them by NOT mentioning them.
The company said...their proposal was to keep cargo in THE HUBS AS IT IS TODAY.... that means that Phx LAX and LAS would be outsourced due to them NOT BEING HUBS.
Sometimes it’s not as simple as reading what is said. It needs interpretation.
I don’t believe LAX would be outsourced in Cargo. JFK...MIA...ORD...DFW...LAX are all cornerstone hubs/Cargo we held through BK, I do think it’s been said they will remain.

you said "once it arrives". Are you suggesting a belief that a mediator will be involved immediately? If so, how so?

I’m just saying what the company stated about keeping cargo in the HUBS AS IT IS TODAY... which means only in hubs not other stations where we currently have it AND NOT adding it in any other stations including HUBS that don’t have it now.

I followed that up by saying sooner rather than later. Parker in today’s video said that help will be requested when the contracts become amendable in September to help move things along. If you or “ fly” haven’t watched the videos, do so.

Then you are talking LUS?

This is why unions are NOT RESPECTED in some circles.....We don't act professionally in the eyes of the public,,,WE WEAR T-SHIRTS! THAT'LL SCARE THE HELL OUT OF THE COMPANY!

And believe me....The company knows many of us do not like association regardless of any comment I make!

And I am absolutely NOT trying to convince you to want it, like it or respect it. I can’t say enough myself that I don’t like that we didn’t vote for it.

And bashing it constantly while in the middle of Negotiations IMO is counterproductive. I don’t think it does ANY good whatsoever.

What I respect about you is a comment like this “The Company knows “many” of us do not like the Association regardless of any comment I make”

At least you unlike some other posters here don’t pretend to speak for all IE: “The Mechanics don’t like”

I’m sure the Company absolutely does know how “many” feel. And it’s also every reason likely that the Negotiations continue on? And on, and on, and on and on.

I do not believe member's feelings towards the ASSociation is a reason negotiations are where they are now.
Sharing two unions with different goals is the reason negotiations are where they are.

that makes sense. expedited is only triggered jointly so it appears NYer was correct that expedited would happen.

Hasn't there been a mediator involved with the current talks?

I believe so. Al. Quote from Hog
