American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

I believe once Section 6 arrives, you will indeed see a mediator. The arbitrator is who will never get the green light from the Association.

By the W, in my opinion, 350 catering jobs is very negotiable and will not send 30,000 members into long drawn out negotiations.
350??? Where did you get that number. There are approx 550-600 in Phl and Clt. Then another 150-200 in DCA, BWI AND PIT. Total of 700-800 at least

People don't get it catering now their jobs next. For a lot of us this is our last contract so looking down the road isnt that important

NYer if we go into section 6 will the negotiation committee go back to bargaining or will it still be Sito and is there a way to change the reps at the bargaing table?

They can change the negotiators anytime they want.

As far as who negotiates, I'd assume it would be the same structure. If they separate the groups, likely, and schedule the sessions at the same time it would be difficult to be in two places at the same time.

I believe that the LUS side does have Cargo in PHX & LAS. It was part of the joint CBA from the US/HP merger, where the east had catering and the west kept cargo. No mention of these facilities that I've seen in the company propaganda.
They mention them by NOT mentioning them.
The company said...their proposal was to keep cargo in THE HUBS AS IT IS TODAY.... that means that Phx LAX and LAS would be outsourced due to them NOT BEING HUBS.
Sometimes it’s not as simple as reading what is said. It needs interpretation.

Plus those are probably really senior folks so the entire station will be screwed

mediators never are in negotiations or involved in most section 6 unless things stall over a long time and one side request. Arbitration never ever happened in the airlines ever. Not sure where you get your information.

It did sound to.me Parker going to section six especially for mediated talks so I see where AANOTOK is coming from

since Sito doesnt have to run for office i expect things to be accelerated and current lus health to be gone.

So does this mean that the DOL has denied your protests and certified the Grand Lodge do over as valid? 770 to 20 is now final?

Sorry Racer that was my fault. I mentioned 350 and forgot to add just in CLT alone which I corrected.

Your Catering reminds me 100% of our LOST Cabin Service Jobs. Probably damn near the same total headcount too.

Don’t give it up PERIOD!!!!!!

Continuing comments such as these are exactly why the Company should not relent on their positions. JMO.

WeAAz...I do NOT want this association! I did NOT vote for this association! And I will continue to NOT want this association.
And most importantly, I do not want any T-shirt or hat or whatever from the association....period!
And I will not be a SHEEP wearing it just because I am expected to....

This is why unions are NOT RESPECTED in some circles.....We don't act professionally in the eyes of the public,,,WE WEAR T-SHIRTS! THAT'LL SCARE THE HELL OUT OF THE COMPANY!

And believe me....The company knows many of us do not like association regardless of any comment I make!
