So your scared it may pass, correct. You are afraid the majority may pass it.
Just admit it. If it's voted down, great we continue to section 6. Handcuffing the majority is what Sito and puppet Garcia are doing, with your blessings of course....don't be scared.

The best way to get movement for our side would be a no vote before we go into Section 6.

As it stands, the two major stumbling blocks seem to be Scope and Medical. If we go to Section 6 where will the movement come from?

W, and the IAM know, they just won't release that info to me. The longer they can prevent a vote and get it to section 6, the longer they hold on to LUS medical...

Yes I’m beyond scared to death it might pass. Do you realize that here in MIA we could wind up losing a whole 20 FT Lav Dump spots. Jeepers Creepers what would happen to me? (I don’t ever want to do Lavs actually)

any vote would almost certainly be a yes vote, so im uncomfortable, myself, playing russian roulette with my medical. Admittedly, I think section 6 would be quite a long time but im ok with what i have. Weez' & Alex' support for lus medical is appreciated and only with their effort of continual solidarity insisting on keeping our lus medical can we truly continue to kick the can.

Since they have us tied to the hip we're all going for the same ride.

NOW you FINALLY got it!!!!! And you can thank your old handler Jim Little for EXACTLY where we are right now!!!!!!

HE wanted this, YOU sold it, WE got it.

Good job.

Well Tim, you have said a lot, and you have been criticized a bunch as well for your predictions, or entertainment statements via FLY. Well, it looks like to me your critics were legit and your words were definitely for entertainment only.

NOW you finally got it? You should have realized that a long time ago.

Anyway AANOTOK you can be as angry at me as you want. Like yourself I have ZERO control over any of this. I’m just along for the ride and am not going to fight against the waves. Thanks to those raises in 2016 I have a very solid Surf Board to ride but I just haven’t reached the sand yet.

You keep blaming the IAM. But SCOPE in (TWU) Maintenance is the BIGGEST ticket item and you’re not knocking them to get to a vote? You and I WILL NOT vote until they settle that outsourcing issue the Company wants. NYer’s comment of being tied to the hip meaning even more Maintenance than the IAM.

And the reason the Mechanics have started another (lol) Card Drive this time out of freakin TUL is because they’re scared to death. They’ve said themselves and posted pictures that the TUL hangers are becoming a ghost town.

The Unions (International levels) don’t give a rats ass ultimately about freakin Medical costs. WAGES and JOBS bring in dues, not Medical.

If the Company presents a last offer, final offer or whatever you want to call it, then it becomes much harder to simply say no. They can aspire to hold onto it as long as they could, who wouldn't, but at some point, there will be a decision made and when it's made the hope is we received the maximum possible.

The maximum possible doesn't mean we get everything we want, it just means we reached the apex rather than getting a deal as offers become less and missing an opportunity.

You want to vote because you know with the last improvements the Company offered at least in Fleet the vote will pass. And pass or fail in Maintenance once we pass we won’t be tied to their hips any longer.

That 2010 vote scenario that the COMPANY put us all in still lingers in the back of your mind.

And hey AMT readers. This guy really really really wants you to have a successful Card Drive but it’s not because he thinks it will be better for you. He wants to dump your asses from being stuck to ours and I really can’t always say I blame him for that thinking.

Alright Metal let’s say that the IAM side relents on their Medical, are you prepared to relent on your Scope growing to a 50% outsourcing ratio?

You have tons of time in the Company so I’m guessing again you don’t care?

I mean honestly let’s see. Neither of those issues will dramatically affect me either so I guess I should also be screaming for something to vote on too right?

“Instead, “We commit that no less than 50% of all aircraft overhaul work done for the airline will be performed by TWU-IAM members,” wrote Kerry Philipovitch, senior vice president and Dave Seymour, senior vice president for integrated operations, in a letter to employees. They also committed to retain engine work, auxiliary power work and some component work.”

“American’s outsourcing share is at the low end. Among the five largest carriers, Southwest outsources 52% of its maintenance; United outsources 51%; Alaska outsources 49%; Delta outsources 43% and American outsources 33%, the report said.”

I'll answer this based on past experience..... In EVERY contract I have ever voted on, the TWU either said vote YES to preserve jobs, or IF YOU VOTE NO, WE WILL LOSE JOBS......Guess what? We lost a ton of jobs anyway.

Just remember this....What ever happens...there is nothing a trip to BK won't fix!

That's actually not accurate. The biggest issue for the TWU at the moment is Scope, which affects many more TWU Members than it would for the IAM.
Not according to what I read on these forums!

MEDICAL! MEDICAL! MEDICAL!

Ok, so if they concede on SCOPE, are you and the LUS side YES votes?
