There may be a majority of TWU to pass it but there may be enough changes that a healthy minority will go against it. Possible it may not pass in MIA.

NYer is the July departures report out? Which stations are potentially at risk come 9/12/18?

Still SAT, SJU and STL?

i've been awaiting tom hanks' reappearance...i might as well wait for the scorpions or def leppard to get inducted into the rock & roll hall of fame.

i don't find that article credible at all. they got a comment from one disgruntled employee? who's pissed off? obviously, it wasn't an iam/lus guy.

Maybe not ,we’ll wait and be pissed off when all the improvements are paid for with concessions from our side

It will pass in MIA. If they improve the economics just a little more it will be an overwhelming pass.

MIA has a ton of New Hires and PT who will all jump on that cash (Wages and Bonus) and the changes to being able to gain a small amount of OT. So put them in the green category.

Next there are a ton of people who only pretty much work 40 hours per week and that’s it. A $1.00 to $2.00 immediate increase in wages, shift differential, 10 Holliday’s at Double and a half that can be converted to 2 weeks off, and a dramatically improved 401k (Not to mention that bonus) And you can put this group in the green category.

Commuters will not be ecstatic about the changes to the Swap Shift language but they are already beginning to understand that voting no will not do anything to change that. So you have a 50/50 vote with them (Money still being important)

And finally the OT Hoarders. Still too many improvements in other areas for them to not really have to think about their vote. 50/50 there.

Those first 2 groups will overwhelmingly dominate the vote.

There are enough concessions to go around.

Really? I doubt the Lus guy who’s insurance premiums double or triple will be able to sleep at night knowing your liberal swap policy and ot rules screwing pters went away

Because they're not important to you it isn't a concession?

OK. Let's say we go to Section 6. I'm sure you'll agree that process will take at minimum a year. Right?

W, I have to admit, you have me confused. You have been consistent in telling me and others in this forum that you have not seen ONE, not One person in favor of what's presently being offered. You have made it clear when I and others have stated we work with people who want to vote now and in my and others opinions feel it will pass. As a matter of fact, some (and we all know who they are/were) have accused me and others of being in favor of LAA Healthcare just because we offer the scenario of a JCBA passing if put out for a vote. Again, you have told us in no uncertain terms, you can't find anyone who would vote for this POS. What happened?

Remember there have been improvements already. First on the wages and especially on the Deicing language (Which didn’t effect MIA)

But my response was specific to MIA.

I think there will be one more improvement to come? “Rumor” says that my PT growth concerns no longer exist?

First offer no I didn’t find one person interested in voting yes once it was all explained to them and including that PT fear I had. DFW people I spoke to were actually angry even. Don’t know how they really feel currently about the Deicing loss and maybe Lavs?

Again my response was specific to MIA.

The IAM as known would still be an overwhelming NO vote if the Medical hit and Catering loss stand as is. And if there aren’t improvements to that ask next week then no there will be no AIP.

Actually the OT changes were a compromise between the two languages. I believe the majority in IAM Fleet are still Full Time so the OT change is actually going to be a gain for your group where it actually is a concession for the majority in TWU.

Although I’ve never been dramatically sympathetic to the guy who put himself in the position that he needs to work OT and especially not the guy who greedily smacks his lips telling everyone how much OT he got for the week.

I love to burst their bubble and tell them I’m not impressed. “I don’t work overtime”

Money talks.......TWU will pass it
.

The probability is that it would pass on the TWU side but the point is that there could be enough no votes that when added to the IAM votes it could fail.

The Swap, the OT and if they keep the 40% IAM PT number (among other things), there is enough that it could prevent an overwhelming yes.

The improvements as known currently not even counting possible further improvements amount to around $10,000 for a TOS TWU (Agent)

$3200 in wages ($1.00 per hour + .50 shift dif)
$3800 extra Holiday pay (If all Holidays worked)
And around an extra $3000 in 401k contributions if a member is putting in the max to capitalize on it.

Overtime should not be anticipated into annual earnings as that can always fluctuate.

How about if the Hubs gain a new 25% Cap on PT heads?

Depending on how that language is written it could potentially immediately open up FT opportunities? (Putting even more of a crimp on offered OT though)
