I could see that scenario happening easily. To add to that, let's say the card drive is successful, with all scope being done at approx 99.9% (as reported last week) then when AMFA comes in, the fired asso unions would keep blaming AMFA for the shitty contract they in fact nego and/or agreed to. Just like they did at UAL when the IAM nego their contract that AMFA came in and inherited, and AMFA was getting blamed for the contract language that the IAM nego. Were use to it by now. I still hope and pray the mechanics at AA are successful in their efforts to bring in a C&C union like AMFA. It really would be a big positive move for all involved...They might be waiting, or hoping, for a take it or leave it scenario so they can just blame the airline and the NMB.
