American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

They might be waiting, or hoping, for a take it or leave it scenario so they can just blame the airline and the NMB.
I could see that scenario happening easily. To add to that, let's say the card drive is successful, with all scope being done at approx 99.9% (as reported last week) then when AMFA comes in, the fired asso unions would keep blaming AMFA for the shitty contract they in fact nego and/or agreed to. Just like they did at UAL when the IAM nego their contract that AMFA came in and inherited, and AMFA was getting blamed for the contract language that the IAM nego. Were use to it by now. I still hope and pray the mechanics at AA are successful in their efforts to bring in a C&C union like AMFA. It really would be a big positive move for all involved...

Well, we find out the NMB never demanded a blackout on info, this was obviously a lie from the ASS. When that was exposed, they then say that AA and the ASS had mutually agreed to the silence. As more and more lies are unearthed, the ASS tries to cover its ass (pun intended) as evidenced by the latest update, which goes against the NMB request of not releasing info, oops I mean AA and the lying ASS agreement not to do so. Now it will be interesting to see if the company decides to publicly refute or defend it's positions on Jetnet. We know they both lie and twist info, so I guess it will be up to us to decipher who is lying more/less. If and when AA does respond, those crickets will show back up and do a bit of chirping...
Discussed that the nmb will not allow anything without a membership vote. The offer on the table, which is less than the offer on jetnet, will be pulled after january, and the next offer will be even less according to the report.
The company is taking advantage of the unwillingness of the union to allow a vote.
Actually the report says that Samuelson is the one who refuses to allow a vote and not Sito.

I wld think if they pull it in jan coupled with the pilots fas n cwa coming up then the company wld probably bypass the Association n talk with the other groups?

Amazing that the association has been at it over 4 years and here we are. Useless updates and misinformation coming from the top. We were never close to a deal for all three groups at the same time. No hush order from the NMB but a self imposed blackout from the association. The clock keeps ticking and ticking and nobody really knows when an agreement will be reached.

NMB has no say so over a vote. If both co. and union agree to allow it out for a vote it will come. But, BOTH sides will have to agree, otherwise it does not come out for a vote. So you are claiming the offer on the table now is less of an offer than what was in the original offer and, now you are claiming that this now offer will get even more less of an offer in Jan. You say all this according to a "report". Post the report and let the membership see it, if not I call complete BS on your info.
NOTE: If the co really wants it out for a vote they could inform the NMB that they will not move another inch unless there is a vote. Then the NMB could recommend to take it out but cannot force it to be brought out. But, she could say you guys will be put on ice if the union did not allow a vote.
Samelson getting the blame again by the co.

Are there negotiations this week or did they take the week off to spend that hard earned cash on xmas presents and eggnog drinks?

From all I’ve heard no more meetings and none expected unless the Ass decides they will accept what’s on the table.
Which if they hold true to their hard lines seems we are done till mid next year if then

The report is that the iam wants binding arbitration. Sito just approved binding arbitration for the FAs at United Express and wants to do it here.
Samuelson and Sito are morons.
Either way, the company has less on the table (i told everyone but 700 and weesles lied) compared to the jetnet proposal. Obviously, the company needs more for the pilots again so i guess they are taking from us.
In January, it will be less and revert to its early 2016 proposal.

when SWA and AMFA negotiates their contract. The mechanics weren’t in their 16th year of concessions. I believe they were in their industry leading contract which got better with back pay.

Tim,

Where is your proof that the IAM wants binding arbitration? You are just spewing lies to promote your own agenda. You have no idea what is proposed and what is not. All you have is "my guy on the inside" or my "reliable source". Without proof, you got nothing.

Its as good a story as the next. We have been told so many contradicting stories from the association, the twu the iam and every other clown with a limited imagination. When the association gets honest and stops taking the membership for granted and treating us like fools, they might have a chance.
Until then sign a card and dump the hypocrites.
