Regardless of how it happened? Are you kidding?
Just like when the last AMFA drive was torpedoed by the company
and the false Teamster drive? I guess it was just great management
efficiency that AA had their legal roster delivered to Washington DC
hours after the Teamsters filed! Nothing to see here?

What type of back-door deal will we be stuck with next?
I see the IAMPF has moved into a new swanky office in DC,
which is interesting. That is why we will not move on from the past
& the way too cozy relationship between the TWU & AA.

There is plenty of room on the forum page for a bit of history,
especially when we have history rewriters, cool-ade drinkers
& trolls on board

I do not believe 98% of the BS posted here.
I find it amusing seeing some get very irritated over something they have no control of.
most of the AA mechanics are complacent do nothing loud mouths....that includes baggage throwers...
Thank you sir may I have another...

Another predictable, canned response from a one size fits all industrial union - kool aid drinker.

Why pay attention? Let the union think for you? I'll take a pass on that logic. No control, so you admit it. There are enough of us left to still stir the pot. Karma can be a *****, and I would get real satisfaction in seeing the Association getting the boot.
Stick to throwing bags.

There is a reason the last AMFA drive we also collected retirement party posters that were posted throughout the maintenance base & obituaries of retired TWU members. But put that story in your 90% file if it makes you feel smarter

I sign a card actually a few..
most who actually cared have given up.
The AA mechanic as beaten wife syndrome.
TWU can do no wrong and they keep it around.
If AA fired the 25% of the twu that do absolutely nothing maintenance would not miss a beat.
The only way they will wake up is when we are making third party maintenance wages..

This thread is so much better when we have rumors and speculation of any pending agreement or what and when we will see it.
I think I can count at least 3 times someone here has said it’s close or should hear this week or it’s all done.
At least we get to be frustrated when that still doesn’t happen with this lame group of negotiators

Rumors are like Farts, Some A$$hole talking Shiit.
Rumors don't get you a vote.
Rumors don't pay the bills.
Rumors don't lead to a plan to retirement.

I think you all get the idea here.

Ok, rumor on.

Rumor: association getting $100m fine, twu trying to figure out what to give up in our contract in order to not pay fine. Their usual strategy of giving Tulsa everything and ignore line mechs won’t work any longer.

IAM trying to figure out how to keep their medical for their guys only and To make it look like the IAM didn’t sell out the other half of the association.

AA executives trying to figure out if they will help association fight off a union raid next year.

Typical ATD rhetoric
27 years under the twu and I have been given
27 years of concessionary contract after concessionary contract. This isnt a union its a scam of stealing from one title group to keep the other title title group no matter what the cost to our medical vacation holidays sick time or pay.
If this company was smart they would bankrupt this union and send them packing. We would be better off with anything other than this unelected bunch of thieves.
27 years unbelievable
I cant wait to see what concessions we will be forced to swallow this time around
Keep up the great work.....

There ya go again.
The mechs did not get the 4% you are referring to. Any early raises they got was for agreement between the co. and this fiasco asso. for both sides to work each others metal. And that was the majority of the leverage the mechs had gone out the window with no say so from the membership once again. And again, that early raise had nothing to do with any 4% the other groups at AA received as the mechs did not.
A promise of D+7% is exactly that, no matter when received, at the end of the day D+7% will in fact be higher than us by about 1.50-2.00 and then some. I think the real total would be 56.71 about 2.00 more than us.
No matter how you look at it giving the mechs SWA pay is still less than the original promise of D+7% and even lower than the later concession offer of D+3%. Why this asso. is so willing to accept the SWA rates is beyond me. And remember, the asso did not nego this SWA pay rate offer it was in fact being given by the co as soon as they heard about our co. offer to us in a proposal not an AIP or even a T/A yet and AA completely coughed it up right away. Funny how that happens. The asso. jumped all over and not thinking it was less than both D+7 or 3%. This asso. better hold them to the original or they might get replaced after new contract is done...

Well, I guess a mechanic from SWA has all the information. Good for you...by the way, you're wrong.

Then why did AA mechs get a worse deal than UAL, Delta? AA gave more sick, o/t, and pay, all of it. Your suggestion of being compared with others in the industry does NOT add up with the rest of the industry. Even AA mechanics gave more in all areas between them and other groups within AA. When it comes to benefits it should be the same for all. Not more from one group and less for another that's subsidizing.

The givebacks in bankruptcy were up to the groups. We needed to give back 17%, the math to get there was made by the individual groups.

Fleet decided, for example, to keep 100% SK pay on first day. AMT's decided on 50%.

I personally think that the Association will never work. TWU technicians want better wages and job security. They say we already had the companies medical. No union pension. The IAM technicians are going to lose media, possibly lose union pension. No more holidays or vacation weeks. I for one would have to say it is a win, win for TWU. I am glad I will be retiring soon . I don’t think I can handle another terrible contract presented to me to vote on!!!
