I have been told everyone wants this done by haloween. Before the holidays.
Unfortunatley they did not specify which haloween.
Let me ask in your opinion if sito and Garcia give the negotiating committee a sub par contract do you think they would have the balls to reject it?Keep in mind the IAM side is getting 130k per and benefits to boot

dfw gen I just hope you guys on the mx side come out good. You seem like a good guy
Thanx, i do tend to get passionate. I again would like to stress i have nothing against the rank and file you guys are on for a penny in for a pound. I know you guys have been thru the wringer also. The international and politics just piss me off

The way the association is goverened. Both a majority of the negotiating committee AND the chair AND vice chair must agree to bring it back. That gives the chair and vice chair full veto power. The negotiating committee is just a formality. The 6 on the iam side are appointed, if they know where their bread is buttered they vote as instructed. Finding one yes vote on the twu side is a given. Thats been my whole problem with the association jim little gave it away, with no way to get out. If and when we get a jcba the next time both parties are on ewual footing. Unless of course they come out with a fence for the iam and the medical without some kind of compensation per hour for the twu side. That would put the iam in command again at the next contract, and with out a doubt drive the wedge deeper between the membership.
Then you have the issue of pimping out the membership i.e. IAH

The six on the IAM all hold elected positions. If you want money for the medical then the IAM should get money cause of the hundreds of millions going into your frozen pension

There is nothing to refute. The pensions were frozen they are obligated to fund them. Like the iam refuses to allow a vote on the association. Hiding behind a legal loophole
Wow more misinformation. Your beloved TWU also signed the Association agreement and the application to the NMB.

And contractually they are and will be obligated for the LUS insurance. Nice non-answer once again. Your getting something the IAM aside isn’t. Quid quo pro. Your side will be gaining so much more than the IAM side. Man you sure are greedy.

Typical you can’t refute so you make it about the poster.
To be frank once we do get a jcba and the iam is fenced in with the medical and pension it would just create more animosity. It they seized a few more stations under the allocation rule, it would make the job of dumping the association a little easier. Trust me when i say no one on our side is happy with the association and the twu. That includes elected officials. I know things im not at liberty to post.

Where is the misinformation in the post? You are correct jim little and don videvitch signed the agreement. What you have to ask yourself ie why did they sign it?
Because they were convinced they would have lost the election. Im not sure if they were right or wrong. Beloved? Hardly. Tolerated. For now

It would benefit the iam to come out with an equitable agreement that doesnt divide the membership. Unfortunatley the association has never been about the membership, its about slicing and dicing the dues.

Is that because they are below the IAM now and are just given parity or they going to go above .Everyone should have same pay and benefits respective to their scale and job function .Anything else will cause animosity

How is going to be equitable when you are gaining vacation, holidays, sick time and overtime when the IAM gets nothing in this area?

How is it equitable when you get your 401k match on all hours worked when the IAM only gets a pension contribution on only 40 hours? How is it going to be fair when you say will get a 9% contribution and the IAM side does not?

How is it equitable when the company pays hundreds of millions of dollars into your pension and the IAM side pension was terminated and sits with the PBGC?

When you cost out the soon to be JCBA your side will gain exponentially more than the IAM side. Mark my words and you ***** and moan if the LUS side keeps their medical, how is it equitable when your side gains way more than the IAM side?

Then the TWU should agree to let AA terminate their pension.

They were above you for ten years, and if you want to count the blood bath of 92 they were ahead of you for 20 years. Guess you forgot they took way less cuts in their 2003 concessions and kept their pension for another nine years till theirs was frozen. They got equity you and I didn’t. Do you work the freight house?

Look at the whole picture not a small piece.
